Two mallard drakes battle it out to win the duck at the start of the mating games in Bushy Park earlier this year.
The flickr autotagger calls this sport.....and I guess it is right.
Here is a shot of the 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT Special with coachwork by Carrozzeria Zagato, owned and raced by Richard Meins.
Originally owned by Sir Max Aitken and Bobby Buchanan-Michaelson, chassis DB4GT/0148/R originally wore the registration number plates "418 UPE" and "X 111" but now has the "616 JGY" mark.
The car itself started out as a DB4GT when purchased by Sir Max Aitken, but when Bobby Buchanan-Michaelson took ownership, he had the car sent back to Newport Pagnell and rebuilt to his specification in 1967 and 1968. The car ended up being classified by Aston Martin as a "DB GT Special".
Fast forward 30 years and the car passed into the hands of Victor Gauntlett, who was the former Aston Martin Lagonda chairman, who saw the opportunity to have the car rebuilt to Zagato specification.

This lovely little 500 TRC was looking incredibly clean at the Goodwood Revival, and was one of my favourite cars of the weekend. Here it is being escorted down the assembly road by the mechanics ready for its race.

An early start in Saltburn by the Sea. I have tried on numerous occasions to get this shot and for once the stars were aligned and I arrived at 3:45am to a high tide and gorgeous sky. Its a cliche shot, I know but one I have had on my list for some time. Hope you like.

In dieser Saison verkehrt wieder ein Turnuszug im Ennstal. Der D 13187 aus Den Haag wird über Bischofshofen hinaus bis nach Schladming verlängert. Für die Traktionierung ist nach wie vor Lokomotion zuständig und so ist für Abwechslung beim Triebfahrzeugeinsatz gesorgt. Am 07. Januar 2017 kam beispielsweise die 187 308 von Railpool zum Einsatz. Bei Altenmarkt im Pongau wartete ich bei zweistelligen Minusgraden auf den Schizug. Die frisch verschneite Landschaft und der abwechslungsreiche Wagenpark ließen mich dies aber gerne in Kauf nehmen.
Since this year you find this seasonal chartered train at the valley of the Enns river in Austria: D 13187 from Den Haag in the Netherlands has its final destination now in Schladming - a location for winter sports with a long tradition. This train is hauled between Wörgl and Schladming by engines of the private train company of Lokomotion - so you will find a wide variety of locomotive types in front of this train. At the 07th of January 2017 it was Railpool's 187 308 job to bring the tourists to their holiday resorts. Near the village of Altenmarkt I waited for this train at temperatures far below the freezing point. I was rewarded by a landscape covered with fresh fallen snow and a colorful mix of old sleeping cars on the train.
