"Golden Gate Splendor:" All I could think of when I arrived at this spot and took in the view of the canyon with its rich golden rocks and vibrant foliage below was that it was as if these majestic towering gates were opening up to a sea of color rising between them.
This is the former abbey of St. Gall, now a cathedral. St. Gallen as it's called now was founded by an Irish monk called Gallus back in the 7th century. I went there to see the medieval library, absolutely stunning, but no photos allowed, so instead here's a picture of the old abbey itself in all it's baroque splendor.
Today is day 80 of Project 365 (Sunday).
So ends my last weekend in Switzerland. Working this week and heading home next weekend. I really missed this country, lived here for 5 years.
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice

Hello everyone..=) wow I just posted this up and comments already?? haha thank you very much..=) I really really appreciate it.
Ok so now the story eh? see this picture was taken at church and its suppose to be an example of the splendor and greatness of God and how His light is just so amazing. wait can you get that? just His light, not even Him yet, but just the fact that His light is so powerful...wow doesn't that just blow you away?? well it blew me away and now I'm in some other country..heh but seriously I hope this picture explains that perfectly =)
So I kinda blinded myself because of the amount of huge powerful spotlights I had used for this picture and yes I am in fact seeing stars in the daytime. =D
So yesterday I got some of my results for my business administration course and heck! I pulled it off! I actually graduated with like Bs and As! Boo-Ya! =D. I just cannot explain how happyish I am feeling right now about that. It's like a feeling of accomplishment or the feeling of good old Barbecue Sauce..Yum!
Believe it or not...but well believe it..=p I have bled dry and nope have not received anything yet, but oh well things come and go..and do things come back?
Ok, that was random!
Honestly, I hope to God I can get through.
I love Matt Costa! "I would shine just like a million suns if you'd just love me baby"
So maybe check him out because he is like weely good..=) seriously.
I am still waiting for my book order, letter, and skinny jeans..hmm seems like time has been moving rather slowly ever since my watch stopped working.
Oh, well. =p

Glacier Park's Mt. Gould and the Garden Wall above Swiftcurrent Lake caught during a sunbreak in the midst of a storm.
This is a variation of an image I posted a couple of years ago entitled "Rural Autumn Scene." This rendering was done using digital imaging software to achieve a more impressionistic oil painting effect. The photo was taken at Nifong Park in Columbia, MO.
“Life's splendor forever lies in wait about each one of us in all its fullness, but veiled from view, deep down, invisible, far off. It is there, though, not hostile, not reluctant, not deaf. If you summon it by the right word, by its right name, it will come.”

I decided to leave uncropped because I think it is so beautiful as is. I had computer problems this morning and trying to catch up on your photos now. Have a great Sunday!
Carnival Splendor.
Operated by Carnival Cruise Line Carnival Splendor was built by the Italian ship builder Fincantieri, Sestri Ponente with the yard number of 6135 and was laid down in 2007 and was launched 3rd August 2007 at a completion cost US$697 million.
The Concordia-class cruise ship was completed 28th June 2008 had her maiden voyage 2nd July 2008 and was christened 10th July 2008.
Carnival Splendor has a 13 deck levels with a length of 290 metres (950 ft) and a beam of 35.54 metres (116.6 ft) and a draught of 8.3 metres (27 ft) and can produce a speed of 21 knots (39 kp/h, 24 mph).
Boasting a crew of 1,150 the ship has the capacity to cater for 3.012 passengers.
During the course of its lifetime the cruise ship has undertaken many cruises and carried thousands of passengers to many and varied locations and experiences but on 23rd February 2012 22 passengers received and experience that definitely was not on the tourist brochure.
In the Mexican port of Puerto Vallarta 22 passengers were participating in the Carnival organised “City and Jungle Tour” when they were confronted by an armed bandit.
The bandit made off with money, cameras, passports, purses and a variety of other valuables.
Fortunately no shots were fired and nobody was hurt but they did have some great stories to tell after the event and there has been no reports of a repeat performance.
Carnival Splendor was berthed at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay on 8th February 2024 to take onboard passengers before continuing on its cruising adventure.

I've been trying to learn more about adjusting colors and working with layers in an older version of Paint Shop. This is pretty girly, but I kinda like how it turned out!
Jetzt hatte ich zu einer Stelle am Rhein einen ausflug gemacht, den ich nooch nicht kannte. Doch nun wird es Zeit nach Hause zu gehen.
