-Curator Commentary, April 12, 2025-
The April 2025 edition of the online Phagan Family Newsletter drop, marks another chapter in their kinfolk's long-standing effort to seek justice for "Little" Mary Anne Phagan, who was murdered 112 years ago this month. This latest issue has caught the attention of forensic historians and independent researchers alike, who are now dissecting its claims and implications—particularly with regard to the controversial statements surrounding Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson. The newsletter details what appears to be a choreographed backlash against Wilson following her public comments about Frank's defense strategy that was played in the teen years of the 20th century and is now the strategy of Leo Frank's modern defenders today.
Our disparate teams of research sleuths and source validators are actively engaged in verifying the newsletter’s assertions and assessing the broader context. There is considerable material to examine, and the fact-checking process remains ongoing.

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson (photo) was attacked by the forces of hate and intolerance (ADL) when they found that she had tweeted the absolute truth about Leo Frank. On August 16, 2024, she responded to an ADL posting [This spat appears to be regarding the lynching anniversary of Leo Frank on August 17 of 1915. -curator]:
“Leo Frank raped & murdered a 13-year-old girl. He also tried to frame a Black man for his crime. The ADL turned off the comments because they want to gas-light you.”
[Curator Context: For those new to the Frank-Phagan case, Kingsley is likely referring to either Newt Lee or Jim Conley—both African American employees at the National Pencil Company at the time of the crime, where Leo Frank served as factory superintendent. Newt Lee worked as a night shift security guard, while Jim Conley was a factory daytime cleaner who, during Leo Frank’s trial for the murder of Mary Phagan, testified that he had helped conceal the crime after the fact, implicating Frank as the primary perpetrator. ]
Despite the verifiable truth of her statement, the American Jewish Committee posted in a statement Wednesday: “Kingsley Wilson, is clearly unfit for her role.” “Anyone who posts antisemitic conspiracy theories lifted right out of the neo-Nazi playbook should not be in public office,” the group tweeted.
[Curator commentary: Jacob Bogage of The Washington Post, along with Abe Foxman and Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and various contributors affiliated with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) or other Jewish activist groups, have advanced the argument that asserting Leo Frank’s guilt—and specifically the claim that he attempted to frame an African American man—bears ideological proximity to narratives promoted by modern adherents of National Socialist or what they perceive to be extremist groups. Within this framework of guilt by opinion-association, individuals who endorse the position that Frank was guilty may be categorized as ideologically adjacent to, or sympathetic with, forms of antisemitic radicalism, particularly neo-Nazism and white supremacism.]
The ADL, which is the most prolific pusher of the Leo Frank fakery, wrote: “We are deeply disturbed that any public official would parrot these hateful and false conspiracy theories, and we hope Kingsley Wilson will immediately retract her remarks.”
The Pentagon appeared to ignore the criticism and referred a request for comment to Wilson for “any remarks made in her personal capacity.”
Two Shameless Bold-faced Liars
In a recent interview in Atlanta Magazine [March 2025] Rabbi Steven Lebow and former governor Roy Barnes continue to disgrace themselves in the face of indisputable truth. Lebow specifically, but falsely, states that Jim Conley murdered Mary Phagan, and he has evidence to prove it. As usual, Lebow lies in an almost psychopathic manner and does not and cannot prove anything. After 40 years of hemming & hawing about “proof,” he has never produced a single shred.
[Students of the Frank-Phagan case are currently unaware of the nature or substance of this alleged evidence; however, we continue to investigate and monitor available online sources for any references or documentation related to it. -curator commentary]
Why hasn’t he released the evidence before now since the 1983 Georgia Board of Pardons DENIED THE ADL’S REQUEST FOR PARDON BECAUSE THE EVIDENCE DID NOT PROVE LEO FRANK INNOCENT!!!

Why doesn’t the ADL, Barnes, and Lebow tell the truth about how they secretly planned the exoneration of Leo Frank with former Fulton County DA Paul Howard in 2019?
[The Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU hereafter) was formally established under the direction of Atlanta District Attorney Paul Howard on April 26, 2019, coinciding with the 106th anniversary of the Phagan slaying. Former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes was appointed as the unit's senior consultant. The launch event featured the attendance of Rabbi Steven Lebow, ADL's Shelley Rose, and other prominent members of the Jewish community. The media sensation was widely covered by TV and press outlets, as the event generated considerable public attention, with numerous photographs circulated online, prompting speculation that the CIU's efforts may have been oriented toward securing a posthumous exoneration of Leo Frank. However, the momentum surrounding the initiative appeared to diminish following the emergence of an unrelated controversy involving District Attorney Howard. It is not known at this time what happened to the initiative. It is known, however, that in 2020, outgoing President Donald Trump allocated $500,000 in funding to support the operational capacity of the CIU.]
According to a recent article, “Barnes said he is convinced that this [exoneration] will happen. There is no doubt in my mind, and we’ll prove it at the appropriate time, that Leo Frank was not guilty.”
Well, Mr. Barnes, NOW is the appropriate time! 1913 was the appropriate time. Put your “evidence” on the table for all to see.
