I sped up the purchasing process of buying my new Leica CL camera as I knew I had Adam & Becky's wedding fast approaching. I guess like many weddings A&B's wedding have been in the planning for 3yrs+ but the difference is I have worked with them closely throughout this time. We did 2 preshoots/ engagement shoots, hours of emails detailing their likes, dislikes, cameras, lenses, styling, locations to millitary precision. All I can say is it pays HUGE dividends to do this. Without doubt my best wedding photography to date and seemingly a very happy couple.

The Leica CL played a big part in the success. A FANTASTIC camera! I'm so so impressed with it. I shot 1100 of the 1400 wedding photos with it (TL + M lenses)

This Hawk was concentrating on something special so it didn't mind when I pulled over, backed up slowly. I was able to take quite a few shots before a truck sped by and scared it.

VOLVO FH AERO 500 GXL & CURTAINSIDE TRAILER

Here's a re-rendering of my wide-angle time-lapse of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse, at a slower rate 10 frames per second, with frame blending.

The result shows the approach and retreat of the Moon's shadow a little better and at a less rushed pace than the original at 24 fps.

Totality begins as the edge of the arriving shadow touches the Sun and ends as the far edge departs the Sun. But you can see the shadow approaching well before totality as a darkness rising. Then you see the horizon brightening as the shadow's far edge arrives and ends totality.

I framed the scene to include the point where the shadow would be coming from, to the right or north of the Sun. The Sun was in the western sky in the mid-afternoon at this site.

This was from Lac Brome, in the Eastern Townships of Québec. I used a 15-35mm lens at 15mm and f/2.8, taking frames under auto-exposure at a rate of 1 per second. So this is sped up by about a factor of 10.
