Image of a Brocken Spectre, visible when the shadow of the plane is cast onto a cloud and surrounded by a halo or rainbow effect. Caught on a flight from Perth to Ayers Rock (Uluru)
Could this be the same infamous organisation featuring in the new James Bond movie? By a Pentax F 100/2.8 Macro
If anyone has an explanation of this phenomenon, i'm interested. After seeing a beautiful sunrise, i go through the plateau of the cras to go home. The mist submerged Dijon, and began to take precedence over blue sky and the sun dispelled. I go to the edge of the cliff where we see the lake kir, but this morning it was a wall of mist that rose before me. The sun still piercing, projected my shadow on the wall of fog. And the amazing thing a rainbow circle had formed around my shadow.
I deliberately dropped the brightness to bring out the rainbow.

She was so excited that I knew who she was. Apparently almost everyone thought she was someone from the Suicide Squad. I was excited that she elected to wear something so... exciting.
The covenant equivalent of a Warthog, the Spectre is not the most well known covenant vehicle, although it is pretty awesome. Sorry it took so long to finish it. My bricklink order didn't come for another two weeks. By the way, I'm still going to try to keep building while I'm organizing my Legos, because I now see that this is going to take a long time, and I don't want to not build for the next six months. Anyways, in the meantime I hope you like this creation.
A shadow of our former selves. That's what's left.

Again, not paying much attention to flickr. I'll be going away for the weekend, but will catch up eventually (i swear!).
This particular photo is the result of experimenting with the strobe (my favorite thing to do nowadays).
Anyways, great week(end) for everyone!

Taken from Pen y Gwryd, looking west down the Nant Gwynant valley. Legend has it that if you see a brocken spectre you will have bad luck, latter in the day I broke my ankle whilst on the South ridge of Snowdon !

Brochen spectre is seen when sun is behind observer who is looking down onto cloud or mist giving a "rainbow" halo. that is my shadow with another standing next to me. This one is quite weak as from the ship looking down onto light sea mist as we entered Akureyri. Named after the highest mountain in the German Harz mountains where it was first observed. Not often seen but I have seen it once before from a airplane over the Andes in South America.
