Three more photos of 48305 with the GCR Santa Specials yesterday. The results are far from spectacular but they were fun to take and even more fun listening to the train, especially while waiting at Kinchly Lane, hearing it start from Quorn and pick up speed. There was even a quickly controlled slip on the first run

This is a label in a shawl that I once bought in Amersfoort. I have enjoyed it every winter for years. I only saw this label when I got home, but I think it's nice to buy clothes from your own country. The label is about 6 cm.

1947. 3/1 "Special Treat"

This could easily fall under "The Things We Do For Love" also. It seems with all the off leash hiking and photography I do with the dogs, I am ripping through treats. Years ago I use to make my own liver treats, but it is so gross. I gave it a shot again. I even like liver, but man, putting raw liver through a blender and baking is pretty disgusting. But the dogs sure do love them!! And I know what goes in them, right?

A perfect morning, haw frost on the ground, clear blue sky and very cold. Stanier designed 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 no.45690 'Leander' powers away from Ramsbottom station with the 10:20 Santa Special. The consist included 6 wheel 'Stove R' van BR no. M32978M.

Street & Cruisin Club Halden, Norway

On Friday October 4, 2024 the McAdam Railway Station organization sponsored a day long excursion from McAdam, NB south to St. Stephen, NB on the New Brunswick Southern Ry. En-route south, the train made an "unscheduled" stop at Watt Jct where a staged "train robbery" entertained passengers with an elaborate horse show with guns blazing. The special featured 2 freshly scrubbed NBSR GP40-2's 3095-3028 with three NBS passenger cars brightly decorated in NBSR, Irving graphics. Chasing this train wasn't as easy as we thought, recent trackwork and speed upgrades made it a challenge. NBSR Extra 3095 is passing some nice fall colors crossing Provinicial county road 750 between Honeydale and Moore's Mills, NB. Upon arrival that evening, passengers enjoyed a wonderful Roast Beef dinner at the beautifully restorted station.

Královec - the border station, which normally serves only one train from/to Sędzisław, came alive a little more on that day afternoon thanks to a special transport. Locomotive 749 251-5, which arrived here loosely from Trutnov, took the track machines to Teplice nad Metují, where they worked on track repairs. In the photo, the machines can be seen in the distance, at the time the photo was taken they were entering from the direction of Kamienna Góra. "Bardotka" is a nice change at this somewhat forgotten station, where every day you can only meet a vehicle of the 810 series from GWR

Královec - stacja graniczna, która na co dzień obsługuje tylko jednego "Motoraczka" z/do Sędzisławia poniedziałkowego popołudnia ożyła trochę bardziej za sprawą specjalnego transportu. Lokomotywa 749 251-5, która przyjechała tu luzem z Trutnova zabrała maszyny torowe do miejscowości Teplice nad Metují, gdzie pracowały przy remoncie torów. Na zdjęciu maszyny widać w oddali, w momencie wykonania zdjęcia akurat wjeżdżały od strony Kamiennej Góry. "Bardotka" to miła odmiana na tej trochę zapomnianej stacji, na której każdego dnia można tylko spotkać pojazd serii 810 firmy GWR
