Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene Carolina Carolina). The eastern box turtle may be my favorite animal God created. What a unique species that is so beautiful and no two are the same. God has blessed me this past year with letting me photograph 14 wild box turtles. All unique in a beautiful and special way.

A few months ago I shared a vertical composition of this area. I will share the story again here along with a horizonal composition. This was a special morning. We had researched this area in the eastern Sierra, and had come a few days before to scout our compositions. There are numerous hot springs along this river, hence the steam. We had mostly blue sky days which was great for night photography, but not so good for general landscape photos. We checked the weather forecast, as we did everyday, and decided that we might have a chance for morning clouds on this day. We arrived before sunrise and set up our tripods. We did indeed have clouds.....but a bit too many.........There was going to be little to no light........Then......all of a sudden the skies broke apart to the east allowing light to filter in and illuminate everything. I couldn't release my shutter fast enough. This was one of my favorite horizontal compositions of the morning.

Touring eastbound through the Thompson River Canyon west of Drynoch, British Columbia, is a Canadian National passenger train on July 5, 2004. The train is on Canadian Pacific rails, and is piloted by brand new CP AC4400CW No. 9807, with CN’s brightly-painted E9A Nos. 102 and 103 trailing the big GE on the five-car train. This part of the canyon sees both railroads performing directional running between Mission and Basque, with CN handling the westbounds and CP running the eastbounds.

Dit is een label in een shawl die ik eens kocht in Amersfoort. Ik heb er al jarenlang plezier van elke winter. Dit label zag ik pas bij thuiskomst, maar vind het wel mooi om kleding uit eigen land te kopen.

This is a label in a shawl that I once bought in Amersfoort. I have enjoyed it every winter for years. I only saw this label when I got home, but I think it's nice to buy clothes from your own country. The label is about 6 cm.
