In the late 1970s a mural group, SPARC, painted what is one of the world's longest murals (it's about half a mile long), on the west side of the Tujunga Wash at Burbank and Coldwater Canyon, next to Los Angeles Valley College. It tells the history of California with an emphasis on Los Angeles. It is currently undergoing restoration and looks great.

Location: SPARC parking lot @ 985 Venice Blvd. between Lincoln Blvd. and Abbot Kinney.
According to SPARC web site, the "mural addresses the ever-growing anti-immigrant sentiment in our country and in the world." It was created by a group of invited, but unnamed, graffiti artists.

A very old picture (from 2004): my uFEM software (and lot of Xterms) is running on Solaris computer but ii is displayed on a Windows machine with Hummibird X Server and FVWM. EPCC, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Sparco doesn't make these wheels in the color, size and offset I needed, so I had to buy white and respray them.
St.Petersburg Aircraft Repair Company (SPARC) at St.Petersburg-Pulkovo (LED/ULLI) on June 30, 2011. This refurbished Mil Mi-17-1V (cn 93050/030-50) was also photographed ready for delivery to the new Iraqi Air Force, with no visible tail number. But the delivery was for some reason cancelled. So this one ended up flying for the Polish Army Aviation (like several others), now with the tail number "6104".

A Sun Sparc 2 workstation. My dad had one of these for a while through the company he was working for. It was, of course, a Solaris system running X-11.
