SpaceEngine - A free space simulation program that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets - all available for exploration. You can land any planet, moon or asteroid and watch alien landscapes and celestial phenomena. You can even pilot starships and atmospheric shuttles.

FebRovery 2022, installment 11.

There seem to be a lot of motorbike-type rovers in my submissions this year. Here's another one, in my personal favourite Space Police colours, the first generation of that subtheme.

First of three Space Sticker Sheets ready! Tried to make them a good fit for Mech as well! Heck I cant wait myself!! All three will be avalible early 2019! thecooperworks.com

Testing new light painting/plastic combo for dense, small starfield and elliptical galaxies.

Single exposure. Nebula pattern created using new Waterworld technique - 100mm lens. Galaxies using light painted plastic, and star field using LED's and laser, some with 0.003-inch (8X) flyfishing line on lens to create cross-shaped diffraction patterns - 16-35mm lens at 20mm-35mm. No other significant Photoshop manipulations, except image resize.

NASA : "art002e012028 (April 6, 2026) - The Artemis II crew captured a close-up snapshot of the near side of the Moon as NASA’s Orion spacecraft approached for the lunar flyby. The near side, characterized by the dark patches of ancient lava, is visible on the top third of the lunar disk. Aristarchus crater is the bright white dot in the midst of a dark grey lava flow at the top of the image".

One of a photo collection taken at the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Ariznoa. They have an amazing collection, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a great day there with the whole family. The kids love it… and so do the grown-ups. I had not been since I was a child… anyway. I hope you enjoy the image.

The largest ancient castle in the world. Once the seat of Bohemian kings, with an area of 70000 m2 it looks over Prague. Churches, palaces, halls, and gardens fill this space. In the foreground Vltava river and Charles Bridge. This bridge was once the only connection between Prague's castle and Staré Město, the Old Town.

Classic Space - Benny's Cruiser, Cruiser, CRUISER! After the ending of the Movie Benny slimmed down his SSS to about half the size and weight while upgrading two of the engines. He now has a sleeker "Cruiser" that is twice as fast. He is currently working on another project with the rest of SSS but further information is not available at this time.

Side note: This is about half of the SSS set. Project #2 will be started soon.

After major advances in spacecraft propulsion, the Zenon space station in the Omikron sector was less and less visited and quickly fell into disrepair. The latest generation of spaceships were able to reach the most inhabited sectors in the system without a stopover. Subsequently, the Xæraba space station in the Qoppa sector became a vibrant hub where trade thrives, expeditions to unknown sectors are set up and is home to the largest shipping company in the entire Laniakea cluster.

Featured in this new image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope is a nearly edge-on view of the lenticular galaxy NGC 4753. These galaxies have an elliptical shape and ill-defined spiral arms.

This image is the object's sharpest view to date, showcasing Hubble’s incredible resolving power and ability to reveal complex dust structures. NGC 4753 resides around 60 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Virgo and was first discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1784. It is a member of the NGC 4753 Group of galaxies within the Virgo II Cloud, which comprises roughly 100 galaxies and galaxy clusters.

This galaxy is believed to be the result of a galactic merger with a nearby dwarf galaxy roughly 1.3 billion years ago. NGC 4753’s distinct dust lanes around its nucleus are believed to have been accreted from this merger event.

It is now believed that most of the mass in the galaxy lies in a slightly flattened spherical halo of dark matter. Dark matter is a form of matter that cannot currently be observed directly, but is thought to comprise about 85% of all matter in the Universe. It is referred to as ‘dark’ because it does not appear to interact with the electromagnetic field, and therefore does not seem to emit, reflect or refract light.

This object is also of scientific interest to test different theories of formation of lenticular galaxies, given its low-density environment and complex structure. Furthermore, this galaxy has been host to two known Type Ia supernovae. These types of supernovae are extremely important as they are all caused by exploding white dwarfs which have companion stars, and always peak at the same brightness — 5 billion times brighter than the Sun. Knowing the true brightness of these events, and comparing this with their apparent brightness, gives astronomers a unique chance to measure distances in the Universe.

[Image Description: Lenticular galaxy NGC 4753 is featured with a bright white core and surrounding defined dust lanes around its nucleus, that predominantly appear dark brown in colour. A variety of faint stars fill the background of the image.]

This wide-angle shot of the Hubble Space Telescope in the Space Shuttle Discovery’s cargo bay, backdropped against Australia, was taken during the fifth extravehicular activity (EVA) added to complete servicing of the orbiting observatory. Steven L. Smith (center frame) and Mark C. Lee (on the Remote Manipulator System, or RMS, arm) conducted a survey of the hand rails on Hubble. In the foreground is the hatchway of the airlock that connects the airless payload bay to the shirt-sleeve environment of Discovery’s crew cabin.
