I meant to upload it with yesterday shot but forgot, and looking at it now I think it might deserve its own post after all.

The do-over. ;)

First layout of a whole space locistic concept. The container is stackable and you can open it on three sites.

The four interlinking are part of a standard tight coupling with a spaceship or other transport vehicles.

A space taxi I built as a MOC around the time Space Police came out. Delayed as it was too similar to the Space Police sets. Then I forgot about it!

Started a new group too - Space Taxis. Feel free to build one - or a Space Limo or whatever!

my new star adventurer finally enables some serious deep sky astrophotography. unfortunately, my 75-300mm is less than up to the task! very bad CA, strange stars and slow optics. despite this i tried it out on the globular cluster omega centauri as i only get a limited window of time to image this part of space given its incredibly southernly declination.

taken at Kennedy Space Center......l think the astronauts were very brave people . but the risk of something going wrong would not be worth taking a chance for me to have a go......l feel so sorry for the families and friends of the astronauts that were killed

Hasn't there been enough space that you have had in these past many months? What more do you need? You are killing yourself and me. Admit it. Come back to me and let's go to our little planet where there would be no one else but you and me.

Just having some fun with this picture. Is it "Space Needle" from Seattle, or some kind of space ship (UFO)???

Growing up I saw MANY Herbie movies by Walt Disney. This mock-up poster has Herbie meeting the Mandalorian and the Child in SPACE! Listed in the cast are folks who all appeared in Disney films and all were equally excellent actors in their own right. The credits for Producer, Writer and Director were actually those of Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo.

Walt Disney Productions PRESENTS The Mandalorian & Herbie Go To Outer Space! Starring Dean Jones, Don Knotts, Cloris Leachman with Madelin Kahn, Barbara Harris, Harvey Korman, Stefanie Powers & Helen Hayes! PRODUCED BY RON MILLER WRITTEN BY ARTHUR ALSBERG DIRECTED BY VINCENT McEVEETY.

Why is Herbie 53?

Herbie wears the number 53 because of Dodger star Don Drysdale. Bill Walsh, producer of The Love Bug, came up with the blue and red racing stripes and gave the cute car No. 53 in honor of one of his favorite ballplayers. The pitcher threw 58 2⁄3 consecutive scoreless innings in 1968.

Herbie is a 1/6th scale, radio controlled car, from 2005's Herbie Fully Loaded. Herbie The Love Bug was produced by Planet Toys.

Tewkesbury Abbey

A variation on a well-known theme.

Still looking at pondweed (Potamogeton sp) in a flooded ditch, but in these three shots, I was concentrating on the space in between the leaves. There were some great shapes, reflections and shadows.

Space Eagle - Art By China Alicia Rivera

This is the real thing (not a model), the original, full size in a new facility that they've built at Kennedy Space Center in honor of the Shuttle Program. You first watch a movie of its history, the doors open... and there it is, indoors, all lit up and suspended in air in front of you! An amazing closeup experience.

Atlantis was the fourth operational (and the next-to-the-last) Space Shuttle to be constructed by the Rockwell International Co. in Southern California, and it was delivered to the Kennedy Space Center in eastern Florida in April 1985. Atlantis was named after RV Atlantis, a two-masted sailing ship that operated as the primary research vessel for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from 1930 to 1966.

The last mission of Atlantis was the last flight of the Shuttle program. This final flight, authorized in October 2010, brought additional supplies to the International Space Station and took advantage of the processing performed for the Launch on Need mission, which would only have been flown in the event that Endeavour's crew required rescue. Atlantis launched successfully for the final time on July 8th, 2011 at 16:29 UTC, landing at the John F. Kennedy Space Center on July 21st, 2011 at 09:57 UTC. By the end of its final mission, Atlantis had orbited the Earth 4,848 times, traveling nearly 126,000,000 miles in space or more than 525 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

At Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Space Shuttle Atlantis is the new $100 million home of the priceless, historic spacecraft that tells the incredible story of NASA’s 30-year Space Shuttle Program. The 90,000 square-foot Space Shuttle Atlantis attraction is the marquee element of the Visitor Complex’s 10-year master plan. The Visitor Complex displays Atlantis suspended with its payload bay doors opened (above) such that it appears to be back in orbit around the Earth. A multi-story digital projection of Earth rotates behind the orbiter in a 64,000-square-foot indoor facility. Ground breaking of the facility occurred in 2012. The exhibit opened on June 29th, 2013.

That was my third entry for the contest "Out of this World Space Builds" on Lego Idea.

Story:

“We meet again our two fellow classic space figs, Eddy and Cindy with their new outfits. They are now going on a new adventure, exploring space!

Unfortunately, this spaceship doesn't have a rover to explore the surface of new discovered planets but have a little useful speeder bike attached to the rear. Well, Cindy have difficulties to handle the speeder and is kind of scared by its power ... (both minifigs have a double side face, one normal and the other scared ... the speeder bike is definitively difficult to handle!!)”

In fact, it was designed to be with this diorama but it was a large spaceship so I decided to substitute another (smaller) and make this one on his own.
