T189 Photo-A-Week 2011, Week 35, Theme: Self portrait
I am so busy at the moment and self portraits are something I really don't like to do, so not much choice, sorry for looking rather smug... Yesterday I was trying out the iPad2 and made this SP. Took until today to figure out how to transfer it to my laptop and see what I could do with it. Decided for a poster look, as the quality and size of the picture does not exactly merit much more :-)

Pseudoplectania sp. (nigrella?), a cup fungus, growing in mossy soil under fir and spruce. The exterior of cup is covered in matted hairs.
Synonyms are Crovania nigrella, Peziza nigrella and Plectania nigrella. Species in this genus are often called ebony cup, black false plectania, or hairy black cup.

The rains kept coming and coming causing us to say "no way!" But, Andy, our photowalk organizer said "yes way" and as luck would have it the rains stopped, the sun appeared, and the sky became perfect for photography.
