Cortinarius sp. (?), Thanks to oloesel for the ID as to genus, This is a large diverse group to pin down as to species as there are over 1000 species in North America in several subgenera. This may well belong to one of the five subgenera - Phlegmacium. Mushroom with swollen base of stalk growing on forest floor. /Ayer era un domingo muy caluroso, como de costumbre en mi país, y a pesar de las altas temperaturas, disfruté mucho en el campo. Estuve tratando de capturar mariposas pequeñas con el lente macro, y de repente vi una de diseño blanco y negro, pero diferente a las que comúnmente veo. Intenté fotografiarla y sólo me permitió dos fotografías, y dije: “Bueno al menos tengo el diseño de sus alas”… y después de buscar en mis guías de mariposas y en el Internet, creo que se trata de Pyrgus malvae.
