Mycorrhaphoides sp. Unusual in that it has a growth habit similar to Podoserpula pusio in that it forms a structure of multi-tiered brackets growing from a central stipe. I.D.'d by Matt Barrett[ mycologist].

A very similar species, Mycorrhaphoides stalpersii, has only recently been identified in India.

SP 365, now UP 6411, leads a six-car freight back toward the Eugene Yard near Jasper. Been seeing several ex-SP units in the area lately but none with original numbers - may not be any left at this point.

To improve my SP bicentennial caboose, I went back to original photos and realized that my original version wasn't very accurate. I decided against a total rebuild this time around, but I wanted to improve the 'scale' and details a bit. Please enjoy version 2 of SP 1776 and Happy Independence Day!
