I've come to talk with you again..
One I grabbed the other morning, from my garden.

Three years ago we’ve razed all the old camps and build seven new camps with all ecological equipements! Here’s the camp “Le poète” of the “Malin Pêcheur”! All our new camps can lodge each one nine persons with all modern commodities you’ve at home! Nooooo! We’ven’t TV! :))) Only the sound of silence, wind, birds, trouts :))), beavers, mooses… and sometimes of rainders! :))) Don’t forget I’m the real Santa Claus! :)))

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs.
When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.

We are babysitting our daughters dog Bruin. He is a hound/lab mix, His bark sounds like an air horn going off lol! I woke up really early this morning and Bruin and my youngest dog Scotty have been in full party mode. They almost took the Christmas tree down, lots of howls and barks. Finally everyone has settled down and the house is very quiet :).

A lonely Sunday walk. Last minute decision to start the 52 weeks photo project. The weather wasn't great, with only over a 1000 m visibility, but still managed to get a quite decent image of the true England.

The Sound of Silence
Song by Simon & Garfunkel
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence"

50 days already! I suppose that's a milestone.
I find it interesting that certain "sounds" lull out all other, more obtrusive, noise. Do you need to find a "white noise" to drown out the cacophony of disharmonious sound around you? What is your "sound of silence" in this world?
With apologies to that great American heavy metal band, Disturbed, for tinkering with their name just a little bit in the title, by linking it with today's newbie of a bee being disturbed by yours truly.
🎧
I just had to find a reason to add their phenomenal live performance of that great Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel, classic, Sounds of Silence. Screened with an orchestra, they knocked my socks off at first hearing and have loved it ever since. I must play this video daily, and more than once as well.
🎧
Don't just take my word for it, yesterday, I discovered that the legend himself, song writer, Paul Simon, was also wowed. He endorsed the cover, and wrote to lead singer, Draiman, saying :"Really powerful performance on Conan the other day. First time I'd seen you do it live. Nice." Draiman, replied he was "honoured beyond words."
🎧
Ironically, where I added an extra "e" to get the play with Disturbed and Disturbeed, the group dropped the letter "s" from their own version and the song became Sound of Silence. If you want to see why the Conan barnstormer has been viewed more than 81M times, ... ♪♫♪ Click Here ♪♫♪. 😊

Here’s the red treasure of our public fishing club the “Malin Pêcheur”! The authentical wild red trout! Heart attack each time I hold this piece of art of Nature in my hand! :)))
At the bottom, Luc, our so kind camps manager had taken in less one hour ten beautiful trouts for the lunch!

The gentleman was playing the Chinese musical instrument Pipa (琵琶) when I saw him in Minoru Park.
One thing interesting to me is that he was actually talking to another person (on the right outside of the frame) while playing the instrument.
I was never able to talk to anybody (except myself) while taking pictures. I guess I am not a multi-tasking person and not a very productive person in this fast-paced 21st century.
Happy Friday and great weekend to everyone!

Another naturey crap, but I really love the mood in this one:)
Dine under a million stars ~Sounds of Silence~ Dinner. We traveled to a secluded formal dining setting in the middle of the desert, and sipped on champagne as the sound of the didgeridoo filled the air. The sun set slowly over Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Uluru (Ayers Rock) This filled my bucket list to overflow!
Happy Monday dear friends, I'm so sorry for falling so far behind in commenting. Hoping to do some catching up this week. The last week has been so busy, so full it's hard to slow down and catch your breath. Last night I was here at Twin Lakes doing a session for such a beautiful couple right here in front of these peaks. After the session was over I couldn't bring myself to leave. Even with a two hour drive home, it was just too beautiful. The sun was long gone but it left that surreal soft pink and blueish glow over the sky and surface of the water. Sitting out here in the absolute silence - it's like finding a resting place. My spirit is soothed and comforted...the peace is indescribable. The best thing about photography is being able to remember that feeling by looking into the image. Someday though I'd love to live out there so that the only way I needed to feel and embrace this kind of rest was walking out my door. :) never hurts to dream right?!
much love, Rachel
