Myslovitz - Sound Of Solitude
Hello, my friends! That one shot calls again for the key words such as lavender, field, lying down, bees, awkward, etc.....all in one sentence and describing the scene. Sounds familiar? However, I just couldn't resist posting it because I came away with some of my very favorite images ever from that session :)
Have a great weekend my friends!

Milford Sound - what more can I say? Such a beautiful location. This six-shot panorama was taken from a moving boat so needed to be taken fairly quickly. Pretty happy with the result and very happy with being there on such a beautiful winter's day.

Outside it's a frosty and chilly sunset while inside the symphony conjures up a classical masterpiece.

Eons ago there were hills and valleys at the northern end of NZ's South Island. Now the sea has flooded in and made sounds. Seen from Air NZ shortly after take-off from Wellington on our way home.
Although one of the most beautiful locations in the world, she still often hides herself in clouds and fog. (Milford Sound on South Island New Zealand)

Thanks to brother Mintaka for this old capture.
Flower is mine. I made the desk paper copy and placed it on my monitor. I've had some changes since then. New phone, new desk lamp, new bigger monitor, better sound system, newer glasses, less hair (LOL) and larger mouse pad.

A southbound Sound Transit commuter train seen approaching the South Lander Street crossing at MP 1.2X on BNSF's (former Northern Pacific) Seattle Sub mainline just moments out of King Street Station. SNDX 921, an MP MP40PH-3C blt. Jan. 2013), leads the 7-car Tacoma bound train on a glorious spring day as the impressive skyline looms above.
The retractable roof Safeco Field, (home of the Seattle Mariners) which opened in 1999 can be seen behind the train. The tallest black colored building is the 76-story Columbia Center, which rises 937 feet and has been the undisputed tallest building in the city since being constructed in 1985 and is currently the 29th-tallest building in the US. Also note the pointed building just above ans to the left of the locomotive. While rather diminutive in the modern city, the Smith Tower completed in 1914 was a marvel for its day. The 38-story, 484 ft tower is the oldest skyscraper in the city and was among the tallest skyscrapers outside New York City at the time of its completion.

This view from Duck is to the south and the Point Harbor Bridge which connects Kitty Hawk to the mainland. Taken 8 years ago but never posted until now.
Simon atop a rock buttress on Ben More in the Britannia Range, overlooking Howe Sound
Inside story on the shot: We had begun ascending the ridge above, when we all looked back at this view. When Chris and I commented that it'd be a superb shot but it would work better with scale, Simon backtracked down the slope and climbed out to the lookout. Now that is what I call doing anything for the right photo! From afar it may look precarious but he assured me at the time that it was not difficult ground at all.

Milford Sound is a fjord in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. It has been judged the world's top travel destination in an international survey and is acclaimed as New Zealand's most famous tourist destination. Rudyard Kipling had previously called it the eighth Wonder of the World. With a mean annual rainfall of 6,813 mm on 182 days a year, a high level even for the West Coast, Milford Sound is known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world. Rainfall can reach 250 mm during a span of 24 hours. The rainfall creates dozens of temporary waterfalls (as well as a number of major, more permanent ones) cascading down the cliff faces, some reaching a thousand metres in length. Smaller falls from such heights may never reach the bottom of the sound, drifting away in the wind.
Mitre Peak (centre) rises 1,692 metres above the sound.
The beauty of this landscape draws thousands of visitors each day, with between 550,000 and 1 million visitors in total per year. This makes the sound one of New Zealand's most-visited tourist spots, and also the most famous New Zealand tourist destination.
