Sardegna, Samugheo (OR), alla sfilata dei Mamutzones la celebre e arcaica maschera del posto hanno sfilato anche altre maschere tipiche della Sardegna, nella foto la tipica ed anche questa celebre maschera di Austis "Sos Colonganos" che pur essendo molto simile ad altre maschere della Barbagia ha una caratteristica particolare, al posto dei campanacci queste maschere indossano degli ossi di animale che urtando tra loro emettono un profondo suono cupo.

It was a long weekend at the theatre - but we survived it and SOS (Students on Stage) #37 came off very nicely.
I do admit to going a little wild with the fisheye this weekend, but c'mon - every once in a while you gotta go nuts.

Preserve a Coruja-buraqueira.
SOS Mariscal
O maior inimigo da coruja buraqueira é o homem, visto que, por ser uma ave de rapina, essa espécie quase não tem predadores naturais. Entretanto, o danoso trânsito de carros bugres sobre a vegetação da praia é o principal fator da destruição da coruja buraqueira, juntamente com outras espécies da fauna da praia que compõem a cadeia alimentar. Pois ao passarem sobre a "boca" dos ninhos, esses veículos soterram o túnel matando mãe e filhotes asfixiados debaixo da camada de areia em que se encontram.
A passagem de veículos pela areia da praia é ilegal. Compromete não só a segurança dos banhistas como depredam o meio ambiente, contrariando ainda as leis de trânsito. Principalmente por se tratar de área protegida pelo poder público, como a praia de Mariscal.
Benim her gün bayılarak yiyebileceğim, fakat türk arkadaşların ilk tattıklarında "bu mu bu kadar abarttığın şey" dedikleri çerkez yemeğidir. Her çerkez bu yemeği bilir ve sever... Hamurdan yapılır ve içine genellikle patates konur. Özel sos ve yağı hazırlanır. Üstüne dökülür. Bununla da yetinmeyen -Şekil A'da görüldüğü üzere- yoğurtla da deneyebilir. Ayrıca istek halinde sarımsak sosu da kullanılabilir... Her şekli ayrı bi güzeldir.. Gençler arasında bir davet söz konusu olduğunda, ev sahibi gencin bazi psıhalıvelerin içerisine muzip bir şeyler karaladığı kağıtlar sıkıştırması da adettendir:) Bu kağıtlardan nasibini alan herkesle metnin mahyetine uygun olarak dalga geçilir:) He bu arada Psı : Su - Halıve: Hamurla yapılan her yemeğin genel adıdır. Sos Thurpos sono le maschere tipiche del carnevale di Orotelli. Hanno il viso dipinto di nero con gli occhi coperti dal cappuccio di un lungo pastrano di orbace detto su “gabbanu”. Sos thurpos rappresentano diversi personaggi della tradizione contadina. Alcuni di loro sono aggiogati come buoi e portano a tracolla dei campanacci per allontanare gli spiriti maligni. La sfilata del carnevale viene movimentata dai thurpos che con una corda tentano di catturare qualche preda tra il pubblico.
Sos Thurpos are typical carnival masks Orotelli. Their faces painted black with eyes covered by the hood of a long woolen coat said on "gabbanu". Sos Thurpos represent different characters in the country tradition. Some of them are yoked like oxen and carry over the shoulder of the bells to ward off evil spirits. The carnival parade is moved by a rope Thurpos that attempt to capture prey in the audience.
By the Odeon cinema in Bournemouth town centre there's a couple of alleys that are pretty New Yorky loooking, with all the pipes and ventilation fans all up the walls.
I decided to shoot them the other day and got quite a few nice shots, i'll upload a few more over the next few days. For some reason they reminded me of films like resident evil, i am legend and 28 days later, something where zombies have taken over. I like how this one looks like it has a rescue plane flying overhead.
