My travels around the UK by car for three weeks with my son. June/July 2019 England.
On a walk around in Winchester with two friends from my Blipfoto group. It was wonderful to meet up with them. We are staying in Winchester for the night.
I forgot to change the date on my camera so it is was still in NZ time so the date on the photo is 11 hours behind!

So, let's take a look at www.saysomething.pt.vu.
GREAT: This is a theater Play called "Say Something! 93 794 22 27"..
What a fantastic name and promotion.
It could be amazing if the mobile phone number of the title was the number for make the tickets reservations, but of course it would be also very tiring/hard to answer all the time to the question: "What is this?":) Forget, it wouldn't be a good idea:)
.
....something with a bit more pow !
It took me several hours to get it the way I wanted. The roses were painted & lightly blended with 3 colours ( rich pink, purple-lavender & shots of yellow ), the butterfly was transformed with black, yellow & orange, the leaves with metallic green, forest & hints of mild lime. The background of blue & yellow give it more punch and I love how the wicker basket really looks like a wicker basket !
This is one of those items you find in garden centers, made of that faux porcelain-type of material ( resin ? ) and the colours usually fade a LOT over time.
I covered the entire plaque with an indoor/outdoor gloss varnish and tossed in a touch of glitter.
Will be hung on the sundeck wall :)

Folded to show off the delicious Amy Butler dot binding, and some of the quilting. Finished quilt measures 48"x66", a good size for curling up on the couch. Made for a dear friend's daughter who was married on Jan. 2, 2010, hence the name "Something Blue".
Something and nothing here - just greylags at Slimbridge but I like the way the depth of field and the background make up the whole scene.
Sorry for the mass upload - I am so behind on posting that it is the only way to begin to catch up on myself - please don't feel you have to comment especially as I am behind with commenting on everyone's shots too.

Este edificio tiene el honor de ser el primero dentro del capítulo "los mas feos, puede" del libro "La Barcelona fea" de Lluís Permanyer.
This building is considered one of the most ugly of the city of Barcelona, seconds Lluis Permanyer in his book "The ugly Barcelona"
Since Estelle and Lunetta needed something to wear I wanted Estelle to have some kind of shorts, because it's going to get warm pretty soon and a strawberry shirt~ Who doesn't love strawberries?!~
The shorts turned out okay but I messed up the shirt xD You can't really tell that I used a strawberry fabric for her sleeves, but there are... a few >///////>"...
but it's okay for a frist try, I guess~
And Estelle is soo cute >///< Even without a face up x/D ♥
There were shoes and there were shirts. Summer dresses and winter jackets. Clothes for short people, clothes for tall people, and probably everyone in between. A tongue flicked out to swipe at his lips, he had a rather concentrated expression on his face. As if he were looking for something in particular and already had an idea what it was. A mu-mu was pulled off a hanger after a moment. Polka dots fighting overbright flowers for space on the fabric. He held it up to himself with a somewhat perplexed expression on his face before putting it down. Considering the pink tights and black fishnets he'd so recently been sporting, it was a blessing he didn't try it on. He turned on his heels as Rena spoke to him, no words of greeting offered back. Just a small hand waving vaguely at the inside of the shop and a single question. "Is this like...a costume store?"
When I downloaded this to my computer screen, I just burst out laughing...her expression and the way she was standing was just too funny! I guess she was saying...OMG -you caught me! (and yes this was shot through the window)
Today was a little unusual for me here in Oregon, I actually heard lots of birds for the first time since getting here in early November. As a matter of fact, there were tons of birds in my backyard - eating breakfast...photos to be posted :)
If you wonder what the cardboard is for? My Golden mix likes to dig holes in the yard (my landlords yard) so I have to fill them back in then I put her poo on top and then I cover it with one of the hundreds of moving boxes trying to get her to stop digging. She usually just starts a new hole!
Please turn on your sound
One dog and numerous chooks were disturbed, but not harmed, in the making of this video. I never noticed the faces in the tree until I watched this! Note the agapanthus visible in the background at the start of the video... many of my bugs were photographed there! :)
Please excuse the poor quality of the video. It's my first attempt!
For those who have trouble understanding my accent (LOL) here is the text for my words. Hello everyone, it's Anne here. I thought it might be fun to do a video with sound for something different. All the non-Australians can laugh at my Aussie accent! I think I'm worrying Jess. She can hear someone talking and she doesn't know who it is. This is a big gum tree in our yard. I've been trying to do an 'up the tree' shoot but without much success. Nothing seems to do it justice. I'm going to be away for a week. I'm going to the beach, so no doubt I'll come back with thousands of pictures! I look forward to catching up with all of you when I get back. Bye for now.
One of our challenges was to capture something not very photogenic and make it something profound. This is a decaying concrete structure that we were told was part of a miniature golf course at Glen Echo Park.

Mario is a potter in the group of artist that I've been working with recently. Here he is demonstrating at the art show we had recently.
Pottery is another passion of mine. I really enjoy throwing on the wheel. It's rather addicting. There's something about the centrifugal rotation and the pull of the clay that is mesmerizing. Watching Mario made me want to dive back into it!

I gave a bit of my own twist on the block, but made sure to keep the curves really gentle, like Alyssa suggested. I think it would have been easier with a smaller rotary cutter. Otherwise, it went surprisingly well! There is a little bit of breath holding while you sew and before you open the seam, wondering if everything matched up ok!
