one of my friends gave me a lens hood for my birthday and this snowday was an absolutely perfect opportunity to use it. the sunburst in this shot makes me so happy.

Our garbage pile next to our apartment. The blue bags are required for garbage collection. The mini garbage-can-like-thing is only used for food waste. We collect our scrap food in a small bucket under our sink (because we don't have an in-sink disposal) and empty it into this container when it gets full (or just really stinky).
