View of a tree lined river in Yellowstone. This image was taken from the road which crossed over the river.
Snow all Saturday morning so enjoyed a walkabout. . . too many blurry photos because of the blowing snow but caught a titmouse on a fence post sheltered by some walnut trees.
We had such strong wind in the last couple of days that most of the snow blew away, so that the fields are bare. Most of it blew until it filled in roads and then turned brown as gritters covered it. So I had to search hard this morning to find some white stuff in an interesting form. Fortunately I wandered towards the higher locks at Bosley to discover that where the snow had been blown off the fields it had curled over the top of the lock side creating a lovely overhang

A dust of snow
By ROBERT FROST
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend, my friends!
I took this photo on a snow shoe hike at Sudelfeld, an area that belongs to the Bavarian Alps. The light was just great at this afternoon...there is nothing better than combining two passions - hiking and photography...

After several weeks of not being able to go out and taking pictures I finally got the chance to do that. After two days of snowing I strolled around the area while avoiding the hail showers passing by. This is a picture of one of my favorite spots. Ilpendam, 2017.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!
Looking to the distant snow-clad Cheviots. Hedgehope Hill, which is prominent on the right hand edge of the shot, is around 30km from the shooting position above an old quarry (which is about 15 mins walk from our house). The snowfall came from Storm Eunice which didn't really have too much force when it reached us.

Back in December, before I knew that we would get some much snow, I went in search of a nice frozen landscape, which took me up to Teesdale. I got this one just as the sun began to set, and the light tinted the landscape in a warm glow.
Found this angel statue sitting on this red chair in the middle of a large farm house lawn ...I could not resist this beautiful opportunity.
Happy Bench Monday!
