My last shot for #neopantastic week over on twitter. It's been great seeing everyone's images and how we all use the film in different ways. I for one will be using more of it for sure, probably aplit between pinhole and night time exposures.

It may be too dark and busy to be an effective photo but I really liked how the gorge wall picked up and radiated the autumn color...

Cambell Falls is a pretty spot in New England. Would have liked to have been here in the morning or evening, but was not in the cards on this trip. Pretty though with the green and blue sky despite the sun on the falls. Low water flow makes the falls look like slivers.

So I think I may try out the Paparazzi contest, and this would be my sim for it:

Angelina Dubeaux

aka

Sliver

Her nickname originates from Sliver by Nirvana, and thus she's become this grungey/punky/sceney type sim.

She's a model as well as a beginning clothing designer, currently trying to publish her fashion line.

And now for my own *tiny* rant:

Grad Trans(frigging)ition Plan

It's not enough to get straight A's as well as dozens more credits than needed to graduate, and maybe a couple hundred volunteer hours in order to get out of this god forsaken building. No, you have to have a transition plan or else you're not going anywhere.

And, my school being strangely paranoid over whether it's students are just jipping themselves of work, requires that we have all paper documentation, phone numbers, and signatures as proof that we really did 1 hour of exercise, plus all the activities we handled in that hour.

We need 80 hours in total.

And for every volunteer activity and job experience, we have to fill out this form of proof that puts Zellers application forms to shame.

Not to mention you have to explain every little detail of how you plan to graduate, how you plan to spend your summer after graduation, how you will wake up in the morning to get to your college/university and what toothpaste you use to brush your teeth.

Guess I shouldn't be complaining, seeing as how portfolios have been cancelled [yeah, after we finished almost all of them].

Hah, and I should be happy that I'll never have to answer a question like,

[WARNING: this question is very much real.]

"How has this artwork or design given you a better understanding of yourself?"

"This picture of a sunset has made me realize that I really am not that sarcastic little hag inside. I'm really a fluffy, cheery, happy, bouncy, bowl of joy."

I envy those of you who can just go to school, do your work, and graduate!

I still love my Olympus E-M1 Mark II. Though I'm not as quick with it as I used to be, it never fails to perform hand held even with monster telephotos. This is shot with a cheap Tokina 400mm f/8.0 mirror lens.

Ahh the wonders of lighting!
