Looking up through the mist on the onsen this Snow Monkey appears to look at its surroundings before lowering his head for a quick sip of the warm waters from the centre point of the pool.

These flowers have the very ostentatious name of "Pride of Madeira." The hummingbirds have been frequenting certain bushes, and if you are patient, they will come for a meal. I even found one large bush with four(!) hummingbirds frequenting it.
This is most likely a female hummingbird, but may be a juvenile.
One from the garden. Getting a handle on this lens now and what an awesome performer! Plenty more shots to follow because this delivers so many keepers. Though I still don't know why it's not showing up in the exif data! Panny Leica 100 - 400

This is an all white Barn Owl from Norfolk. Apparently it is known as a leucistic Barn Owl. They are quite rare. Also know locally as Castro. It was a good hunter and appeared nearly every day

I thought it was about time I got back to my signature colour palettes . . . and what better way to start than with these beautiful coffee cups on display at my local cafe, and fabulous sparkly curtains in the window of a local hair salon. I thought both made for the perfect pairing!
