Shimano bar end shifter on my "urban cycle" created after I redid this former high end Norco Nitro mountain bike that I bought in 1993. I took off the Rock Shox, replaced them with a more traditional front fork to suit the bike. See other previous photo for more information.

Aerial image of Hill Inlet. The patterns in these shifting sand are an amazing sight.

I don't have tilt-shift lens, but I have hands and old helios! :)

as vezes bate tanta saudade desse tempo. =/

hj é difícil ver um pipa no alto :/

o que aconteceu com essa garotada?

Enfim, essa é a visão que tenho da rua de casa.

ah, esse arco-íris? a hora que vi, corri em casa pegar a câmera. o/

It always happens. I peak round the door as I get the dogs ready for their morning walk, it’s flat dull and tossing down, so I decided to leave the camera. The walk is as damp as I expected but on the home leg I come across this little scene in the field. The horses have all congregated underneath a willow tree to keep dry, it looks lovely, but no camera. As I get home I leave the wet dogs in the porch and quickly pick up a camera and a tripod, jump in the car and nip back up to the field. When I get there the scene is even better, rather than the huddle I left 10 minutes ago I now have another horse trying to negotiate room underneath the willow. “Go on, shift along mate. I’m not moving.” You’ll be glad to know within a few frames, room is found and horsey get comfortably under the tree. I do like a happy ending.

Early morning activity sees JS 8081 departing the washery having discharged its load of coal. The train will make its way to Dongbolizhan for the morning shift change. Sandaoling, Xinjiang Province, China.

This is an OC, originally known as Blackhawk.

Name: Frank Willis

Alias: Nightshift

Equipment/Weapons: Nightshift armor (bullet-resistant, can deflect knives, and has holsters containing throwing weapons), throwing weapons (knives and shurikens), smoke grenades, grapple hook, and spiked gauntlets.

Powers/Abilities: Skilled actor and pilot, extremely acrobatic, armor grants durability, but slows agility. He also designs his own weapons.

Weaknesses: Frank doesn’t have super powers, he is also an alcoholic.

History/Backstory:

Frank Willis was a professional pilot and actor. After graduating school, he joined the Air Force and became a professional pilot. He soon left due to the begging of his parents. After leaving the Air Force, he grew a fond of acting. During his acting career, he starred in many action movies and even performed his own stunts (might be Tom Cruise). After leaving acting and realizing the crime rate in his hometown went up, he became a vigilante. He graduated training while at JAVELIN and became Blackhawk. As Blackhawk, he started a superhero team known as the Saviors. The Saviors’ headquarters was a rented out space of an office building, it eventually became the official headquarters after Willis’s first appearance on the news. The first iteration of the Saviors group was: Matchstick, Blackhawk, Mister Magnet, and Flagstaff. They gained tons of attention and popularity after battling some thieves robbing a bank. Sadly, during they’re 2nd mission, Mister Magnet was shot to death (kinda ironic) and Matchstick was kicked off a building after being blinded, and Flagstaff was stabbed by his own staff. Blackhawk was the only survivor and he escaped. People still rooted for him, but Blackhawk publicly quit. That was also the reason why he became an alcoholic. A few years later, Blackhawk came back as Nightshift and formed the 2nd Saviors group. Currently, he is trying to recruit the Liberator.

I will make Matchstick, Mister Magnet, and Flagstaff in LEGO form soon. JAVELIN is based off of andhe’s idea.

Macro Monday, December 5: Arrow

This wasn't from the previous photo; the clouds didn't move north but continued south. This was another set of rain clouds that had rolled in from the high desert and mountains to the north. Again, no rain for us in Glendale, but apparently the areas to the east and southeast of us got some scattered rain.

Anyway, it made for more interesting cloud patterns in the sky.
