Broadway Sessions is NYC's ultimate post theater extravaganza. Every Tuesday night beginning at 10pm at The Midtown Theater (163 west 46th street, inside the HA! comedy club). Bway Sessions is a musical theater themed variety show. Each week your host Ben D (Broadway casts of Wicked, Aida and Footloose) welcomes a new Broadway guest to perform, play games with the audience and bare their souls thanks to our "scientifically formulated" list of 20 questions. We also take pride in featuring cabaret stars, composers, dancers and comedians. And that's not all! After the show YOU are the star at our musical theater open mic bash! featuring the flying fingers of our musical director, NAY, MAESTRO Will Van Dyke. Creating one-point perspective drawing is the bane of first year architecture student's existence. You may ask: Why would you subject yourself to revisiting that trauma? Communicating by sketch is one of the most visceral and enjoyable experiences we can have with clients and collaborators and a skill that must be honed through practice. Despite our flashbacks to first year, and dread, everyone enjoyed this experience and vowed to continue! Next class: Two-point perspective, twice the dread!

Forum was exploring practices of organising and supporting residency programmes, examining their role as hubs for inter-local and inter-cultural exchange. It gathered cultural professionals and artists from different fields of contemporary art, as well as decision-makers and experts. It provided an opportunity to discuss and critically reflect on current practices and support models, to learn from each other and to share ideas on how residency programmes can be improved in order to resonate better with current and future cultural and social dynamics. Forum aimed to contribute to the development of cultural policies that would provide an adequate support for such programmes in Croatia and other European countries that share similar challenges. Programme of the Forum consisted of working sessions, panel discussions, conversations and presentations.

Our second workshop was led by Chris Holt. The topic was Blind Contour and Timed Sketching. We started drawing with an organic object and then moved to drawing inorganic objects on the table. Next we tried blind contour drawing of the person across from you, which was way more amusing than we expected. Lastly we practiced timed sketching of an object on the table to show progression of detail in a given timeframe.
