Did not spend a lot of time out with the camera, but managed to squeeze in a couple of sessions in the midnight sun on my vacation in the north!
Aufgrund seiner frühen Verkehrszeiten, ist der so genannte HKM-Zug GM 60800 von Duisburg-Hüttenheim HKM nach Rohdenhaus in den Wintermonaten nur selten bei Tageslicht umsetzbar. Zu Beginn der Karnevalssession 2020 war es jedoch wieder soweit, und 232 654 konnte mit dem Zug am Abzweig Anger in Ratingen abgepasst werden. Zeitgleich schwebt eine B 737 von easyjet als Frühflug aus Tegel in Düsseldorf ein.
One of my favorite Victorian homes on Carroll Ave. in Angelino Heights, Los Angeles, CA.
From the L.A. Conservancy website: This remarkable home was designed by architect Joseph Cather Newsom. Built in 1889, it features complex textures and shapes, as well as a pair of carved bearded dogs guarding the front steps.
Bond Street tube station has gone a pity heavy on the orange, but it does make a change from the usual bright white tiles.

My first time checking out Kate Sessions Park. Nice view of the city but it helps to have a clear night and a long lens. I shot this with the Sony a7RII and an adapted Canon 70-200mm lens.

I'm not sure of the history behind this pissoir but it has sat outside of the Sessions Court House (now a Spa) in Beverley for as long as I can remember.
While backpacking through Java, Indonesia I visited the out of the way 'Ijen Crater lake' set in a complex of volcano's that tower the eastern Javan terrain.
At 2700m the sulphuric acid lake has a Ph of 0.5 where pure water lies at 7.0. Locals mine sulphur from the edge of the lake and in the process of cooling the sulphur with water they create this huge plume of smoke and steam.
For approximately 80kg of sulphur removed from the crater the workers get $9. Its very labour intensive and back breaking work.
It was more than 23 years ago that I moved to the Upper Mississippi River Valley for a new job. The landscape and the railroading helped seal the deal. I would buy my first house along the river, eventually change jobs, eventually live elsewhere, but had kept the house where I could see the BNSF St. Croix Sub out the front windows. This day would be bittersweet as within the hour I would be closing on the sale of that house and my place along the river would be no more. I had a myriad of reasons to hang on to the old place but also the reasons to sell were piling up, it was time. Thankfully I still have family connections in this direction and don't live too far away. I'm looking forward to my future trips being for pleasure and not strictly work sessions.
The raw weather seemed appropriate for this day of farewell. I've made the drive hundreds of times but it never gets old. Skirting Lake Pepin I caught sight of an eastbound train a couple miles behind me on the other side of Maiden Rock. A brief pause here at Pepin allowed the BNSF 5926 to overtake me before we both continued down river. Even without a place to hang my hat along the river it retains a piece of my heart.

Saturday has been a very busy day, which is not a bad thing. I was in Greenwich for two photo-sessions and while waiting for the second one to start I could not help myself from keep shooting. Hey, I hadn't seen the sun in ages.

Kate Sessions was a horticulturist, landscape architect, educator, and nursery and flower shop owner who oversaw the planting of hundreds of eucalyptus, oak, pepper, and many other varieties of trees in Balboa Park. She is honored elsewhere in San Diego, including at a school in Pacific Beach and a nearby Park there.

After jamming The Offspring for a couple hours, every album I own of theirs, I geared up and went for a spin on my DevilDuc :-)
Not to neglect Bette Su, I took her out for a flogging as well. I may or may not have tried to climb the berm in the background for a photo. Street tires didn't fare well on the steep slope and she was not very happy being flipped upside down. She was literally spitting mad for a bit but settled down eventually.
Sessions is the title to an Offspring song as well as time segments while riding the track at Road Amarica. I also refer to my motorcycles as my therapists, and rides are therapy sessions :-)

esta fué un poco dificil, por que quería obtener el resultado que se ve, pero no sabia como y el vato ps andaba dando el rol nimodo de hacerlo esperar, tonces que s eme prende el foco, velocidad media, con flash, pero bajar la compensación del flash. baaam!! en una sola toma la tuve como quería!
