One of my favorite Victorian homes on Carroll Ave. in Angelino Heights, Los Angeles, CA.
From the L.A. Conservancy website: This remarkable home was designed by architect Joseph Cather Newsom. Built in 1889, it features complex textures and shapes, as well as a pair of carved bearded dogs guarding the front steps.

My first time checking out Kate Sessions Park. Nice view of the city but it helps to have a clear night and a long lens. I shot this with the Sony a7RII and an adapted Canon 70-200mm lens.
The Sessions House is a courthouse in Preston, Lancashire, England and is a Grade II* listed building. Built between 1900 and 1903 as a venue for the Quarter Sessions and Assizes it is still in use as a courthouse as well as being used as administrative offices for Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service. I'm not sure of the history behind this pissoir but it has sat outside of the Sessions Court House (now a Spa) in Beverley for as long as I can remember.

Catching up this week on all the sessions I had last week.I had more to share from my family sessions but I'm switching it up a bit now and focusing on BABIES ... oh baby! This was a good session!! And I've got lots more!!!
Although he pooped and peed on every blanket I brought (and I brought a lot), he was such an adorable little guy, I didn't mind one bit! The funniest was when he pooped all over his dad when he wouldn't settle. The poop shot out of his bum like an explosion from the twilight zone. His bum was totally clean ... but the floor and everything else surrounding him, not so much!!! ;)
He never really fell into a deep sleep. Although under 2 weeks of age, he preferred cat napping during the session, waking up to eat, and then pooping/peeing. It was a neverending cycle. This guy probably ate at least 10 times while I was there!! So, as you can imagine, I had to be extra gentle with him to keep him sleeping for as long as possible.
One of the challenges I had, before shooting with the D700, was catching quick spontaneous moments, like baby smiles. So, you have no idea how happy I was to see that I caught, not only one but two smiles, back to back from this little fellow! He was sooo good to me! :) My own processing on this one!

Kate Sessions was a horticulturist, landscape architect, educator, and nursery and flower shop owner who oversaw the planting of hundreds of eucalyptus, oak, pepper, and many other varieties of trees in Balboa Park. She is honored elsewhere in San Diego, including at a school in Pacific Beach and a nearby Park there.
Something that I always have come up as a message to myself when I perform a tarot reading is that I should take some time to have a repair session, to allow myself the time to repair both on the inside and outside and to be able to begin a new cycle of life that may come ahead of me... and this lockdown I think has been the biggest way of doing this.
I found myself sitting for a few hours each day and just thinking - no distractions and allowing myself to filter through many random and small elements that I’ve never given the time of day too before due to being so flat out doing so much of my life! 🙈 it’s something that was well needed but eye opening too.
I feel that the process of healing wounds both physically and mentally and healing your mind is a great way to keep yourself strong when in this circumstances, find a space in your house, switch the world off and all areas of your mind, your thoughts, your worries, yours dreams up high. Live it all and feel them, but please never ever feel secluded or alone, you are becoming stronger, you are worthy to feel those things and ultimately, when all of this has past, we will be stronger people for it!
