It’s an old service station nears Cairns, Australia. You can see there’s a dilapidated bowser on the left. The structure has had a pink wash at some point which certainly would not have been the original color.
As a teenager in the 1960’s, I would fill my first car up in places like these. You’d pull up out front and a man dressed in overalls with a good head of hair and an oily rag slung over this shoulder would skip over briskly: ‘Fill her up?’ he’d inquire, and you’d say ‘Yep. Thanks’. He’d stick the nozzle in and lock her down then be lifting the bonnet to check the oil: ‘She’s a bit low. When’s your next service?’. ‘Next month’ ‘Hmm…better get it done sooner rather than later. OK, that’ll be a dollar-eighty-five’.
Then I looked up from my camera and wondered where that good-natured fellow went.
After the closure of the GWR station at Barnstaple Victoria Road, trains for Taunton shared Barnstaple Jnc. Station.
7304 prepares to depart over the spectacular former GWR line for Dulverton, with connections to the Exe valley, and Taunton beyond.
Part of a collection that I've been reunited with. These were wedding and shower and birthday gifts that I fondly remember my mom bringing out from a cabinet on special afternoons and following many holiday dinners. After she passed away, they were buried further back in the cabinet...then moved to boxes...eventually hidden deep in basement storage. They recently came to mind, and all it took was the ask and they made their way back to light and a whole new purpose.

Follow the mooring rope that leads you down to the boat, the sun ripples reflected from the water caught my eye.
Blakeney Marine Services use this boat to go and retrieve customers boats that have lost their moorings and swept out towards the sea.
They also collect customers boats to be repaired and service ready for the next season of summer boating.
Shot was taken at low level with my monopod to try and get dramatic viewpoint, the slipway here is very slippery and usually wellington bots are the order of the day. Or use an extended monopod from the safety of the quay.!!

Today was a sad day for the Lothian history as one chapter came to an end. The running of service 42 has become a staple over the years however, today the 10th of September 2022 was the last day of service. It seems a rather pointless and unfair decision as the bus stop at Craigleith was packed. Though the Southbound route will be covered by an extension to service 12 the Northbound part will be axed. Which will be a huge shame as there are many elderly who rely on this part of the route. (I am hoping for a return or an extension to service 15 or the recurrence of service 67 to cover the route) However, here we see on the last day leaving the Craigleith Shopping Centre is hybrid 44 in the sunshine as it is bound for Kings Road.

The based black dish actually is a dark bluish grey dish since I don't have one yet. It will took me around 4 weeks to receive a Brick Link order from overseas. So for now I photoshoped it, but for sure I'm planning to take another shot when I have the real black dish later on :)

These kitten-brothers are 3 months old, but it looks like they know how to take care of themselves on their own...
1 of 20 brand new ADL Enviro 200MMC's bought by Kernow (First Kernow) & Cornwall Council 44969 WK18BUW is seen in Camborne today making a rare appearance on the 39 from Helston, something you wouldn't have expect to see here considering these were primarily intended for the routes in the east of Cornwall.
WEEK 21 – Summer 2017 Kickoff!
Turning to the right from the meat department, we happen upon the store's service departments: meat (stylized as “Butcher Block”) and seafood sharing a space in the foreground, with the deli just beyond that. I'd guess that the bakery is out of view beside the deli, too. And I guess this is one plus about the non-deluxe version of Industrial Circus: having the illustrations two-dimensionally printed onto the angled square pieces means that the store won't have to deal with peeling stickers as it ages!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

Here is Athens Services #423 on the side of the road with no signboard. It looks like #423 was getting towed to either a scrap yard or to get a fresh coat of paint and the tow truck had issues. If anyone sees #423, please leave a comment because I’m curious what will happen to it?

This was a bit of a surprise and a little unusual. It arrived from Skelleftea, Sweden, operated by Maleth Aero on behalf of AELF Flight Service and using a Braathens Regional flight code.

There were quite a few people I saw getting upset about The Postal Service headlining Lolla on a reunion for one album that came out over a decade ago. Personally, the point is taken though both Ben Gibbard and Jenny Lewis have been in other bands as well and this shouldn't be overlooked. Personally, at around the time the album came out, I was experiencing the most turbulence in my life. I had moved to Chicago for my first real job from upstate NY. I was trying to get my bearings in a big and new city when 911 happened. I pretty much listened to Give Up and PJ Harvey's Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea nonstop for months.
There are albums that you listen to that calm and reassure you and those that actually save you.
