De prachtige 120 144 van Schlünß heeft zojuist de in mijn ogen nogal storende rijtuigen van Happy Train en de Bentheimer Eisenbahn er tussenuit gerangeerd en staat nu tegen de sleep TEE- en IC-rijtuigen van SEL aan. Later zal er richting Salzbergen gereden worden om daar de 181 213 op te pikken en mee te nemen naar de thuisbasis in Neumünster.
Deutsch: Die wunderschöne 120 144 von Schlünß hat gerade die meiner Meinung nach eher störenden Wagen von Happy Train und der Bentheimer Eisenbahn ausrangiert und steht hier gerade gegen die TEE- und IC-Wagen von SEL. Später wird Richtung Salzbergen gefahren, um dort die 181 213 aufzunehmen und zu ihrem Heimatstützpunkt Neumünster zu bringen.
Selly Manor, built around 1476, and rescued by George Cadbury in 1907. It had undergone various changes over the centuries and by 1853 it had a substantial brick section and was divided into three cottages. It was dismantled and painstakingly rebuilt, beginning in 1909. It wasn’t completed until 1916, at a cost of over £6,000. The following year (while World War I was still raging), it opened as a museum. This section, half timbered as most of it is, has brickwork between the timbers, arranged in herringbone fashion.
Gisteren, op zondag 3 maart 2024 reed Schlünß Eisenbahn Logistik 181 211 met een Mercedes autotrein, bestaande uit vooral GLE’s. Met best veel haast vertrok ik uit Apeldoorn richting Bösensell, toen bleek dat ik minder speling had dan verwacht werd dit gewijzigd naar Nottuln. Na bij een geslaagde foto met zon werd de achtervolging ingezet over de 43 richting Ratingen. Na een file bij Kreuz Kaiserberg in Ratingen aangekomen was het een tijdje wachten.
Om 16:45 reed de SEL 181 211 met een beladen Mercedes autotrein als 95185 uit Bremerhaven Kaiserhafen naar Worms Gbf door Ratingen.

Une fois les cales pleines, les navires attendront la marée haute pour rejoindre le canal du Mozambique. Ils mettront alors le cap plein nord, toutes voiles dehors, pour rallier le port de Maintirano. C’est dans ce port que le sel sera transféré sur des camions qui à leur tour prendront la route de la capitale, Antananarivo, distante de 600 kilomètres. La plus grande partie de la production est destinée à l’exportation.

Once the holds are full, the ships will wait for high tide to join the Mozambique Channel. They will then head due north, full sail, to reach the port of Maintirano. It is in this port that the salt will be transferred to trucks which in turn will take the road to the capital, Antananarivo, 600 kilometers away. Most of the production is for export.

Selon le chauffeur qui est aussi le chef d’équipe, le sel étant corrosif, les éléments de carrosserie sont vite attaqués. Il en est de même pour le châssis et le moteur, « mais là, on ne peut pas s’en passer » indique-t-il. Les pièces sont changées au fur et à mesure qu’elles s’oxydent sous les effets conjuguées du sel, de l’eau et de l’air.
