The SEC luxury coupé was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1982. The 560 followed 3 years later as the most powerful model, with a new V8 engine producing 300 hp. At the time, the S-Class belonged to the very best available on the car market, especially with this engine. This coupé also had no competition in its market segment.
