Surrey Cubs Run A Muck (SCRAM) 2013. Held at the Cranleigh Show Ground on the15th June 2013. Mixed weather and about 2000 Cub Scouts taking themselves around the things on offer.
The event happens every three years and is for the Cubs of Surrey.

The Fuller Building or as it is better known, the Flatiron Building, is located in the borough of Manhattan, and was one of the tallest buildings in New York City upon its completion in 1902. The building was designed by Chicago's Daniel Burnham with John Wellborn Root in the Beaux-Arts style on a triangular island block at 23rd Street, Fifth Avenue, and Broadway, facing Madison Square.
Like a classical Greek column, its limestone and glazed terra-cotta façade is separated into three parts horizontally. Since it was one of the first buildings to use a steel skeleton, the building could be constructed to 285 feet, which would have been very difficult with other construction methods of that time.
The initial design by Daniel Burnham shows a similar design to the one constructed, but with a far more elaborate crown with numerous set backs near the pinnacle. A clock face can also be seen. However, under the advice of John Wellborn Root, this was removed from the design.
When completed, it was officially named the Fuller Building after the building's promoter George Fuller. Locals took an immediate interest in the building, placing bets on how far the debris would spread when the wind knocked it down and nicknaming it "the Flatiron" because of the building's resemblance to the irons of the day. The building is also said to have helped coin the phrase "23 skidoo" or scram, from what cops would shout at men who tried to get glimpses of women's dresses being blown up by the winds created by the triangular building. At the rounded tip, the triangular tower is only 6.5 feet (2 meters) wide. The 22-story Flatiron Building, with a height of 285 ft (87 meters), is often considered the oldest surviving skyscraper in Manhattan, though in fact the Park Row Building (1899) is both older and taller.
Today the Flatiron is a popular spot for tourist photographs, a National Historic Landmark, and a functioning office building, currently home to several book publishers, most of them under the umbrella of Holtzbrinck Publishers. The surrounding area of Manhattan is named the Flatiron District for its signature building.
The signature edge of the Flatiron Building was covered in black scaffolding from December 2005 to March 2006 for renovations. Sidewalk-level scaffolding remains.
Bearing the influence of architectural trends introduced at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Burnham's eye-catching design combined elements of French and Italian Renaissance architecture in an effort to attract businesses to this formerly residential and retail-oriented neighborhood. The building's triangular plan was a clever response to the awkward site produced by the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Avenue. Its ornate but restrained facade is composed of stone and terra-cotta panels whose forms simulate the effects of rustication. Undulating bays break up the monotony of the building's tall midsection. The overall effect is that of a palazzo stretched to great height. Here, for the first time, the construction of a steel-framed skyscraper was witnessed in its entirety by the general public--a event which generated much response. The building fascinated photographers and was immortalized in the work of Edward Steichen and Alfred Steiglitz.

The sales controlled early 10 minutes of the game maintain possession cathedrals half for most of the beginning of the game
15 minutes of the game, cathedral start to gain some possession and that it is decent shot On Gabe Weikert
The Irish played a Highline which the stallions struggled figuring out. One goal was called back from Will As well as the scoring chance for Jack. Both were offsides.
The 15th minute of the game both teams had scoring chances with balls rolling across the front of open goals
We’ve ever had a great chance at seven minutes went off the crossbar
Goal by Nick Kennedy at 2:48 left in the 1st half.
DeSales started the second half maintain possession and generating several scorig chances in the first 15 minutes while giving up few shots on the other end.
DeSales had four chances inside a box in a scram off of a corner kick but run able to convert with bodies flying everywhere
Andrew Shaffer scores with less than 3 minutes left in the game , securing a 2-0 victory for the stallions.

Puuek is my 6th girl, a "Running Deer" petite. Puuek is "deer" in my local Native American language.

I was able to get closer to some of the elk herd at Finley National Wildlife Refuge in Corvallis, Oregon than I ever have before, and also saw some calves, which I don't remember seeing before. I will be naming these pictures, cropping, adjusting, touching up, leveling horizon lines, and things like that; but for now I just wanted to get them loaded up. It takes about 7 minutes each, and that is just to post it. I spend a lot of time enhancing, tagging, grouping, and describing my pictures, usually; so please be patient with me.. Yikes! So, once upon a time, there was a man-made nuclear reactor. The first man-made nuclear reactor. It was basically a hunk of uranium encased in graphite encased in lead. Everyone was understandably nervous about what would happen when it reached critical mass, 'cause nobody knew what would happen. So what did they do? They suspended a control rod over it with a rope, then gave a grad student (look at his face!) an honest-to-god AXE and told him, if things got bad, to cut the rope and run for his life.
Nowadays, the machinery to raise and lower the rod is still called the SCRAM.

Sarah Oliver's relatives cheaped out and made her headstone themselves, not realizing they should mirror the lettering in the mold.
We had the worst possible lighting for our photos, but there's not much (anything) to do in Maple Hill, so we took the photos and scrammed.

My final view of the cathedral on the dawn of my travel day. I needed to pack up my dirty clothes and be ready to scram for the train station.
Keppel Quarry, near Owen Sound, Ontario, is the subject of some local controversy as they seek to expand their enterprise. Valid concerns have been raised, on both sides. Not sure where it stands. The gate was open as I drove by on this photo shoot day back in the spring, so I parked and walked in. Trespassing I suppose, technically, but the gate was open. I managed about a half dozen shots from just near the gate before I saw a company vehicle speeding my way. I high-tailed it, gave them the slip, scrammed outa there in a jiffy. Investigative photo-journalism is very stressful.

43009 brings up the rear of a HST set heading towards London only a metter of weeks after receiving it's new MTU engine. Makes a nice noise, but it lacks the scraming turbocharger that signifies a HST...
STREET PROCESSION: Scram! As the Lord and his entourage make way down Old Town to Old Hansa, a medieval restaurant which serves fantastic apple cider and interesting beers.
