Saps at Sea Tent, Proudly Present:

LAUREL AND HARDY – JUST ONE MORE TEENSY-WEENSY NIGHT!

Welcome back All Saps! To our second, 39th Anniversary Year Gathering of Marvelous Movie Delights and Humorous Hijinks!

Here your Grandest of Sheiks has assembled a night you will not soon forget. We have a "Special" Guest author in attendance, Mr. Craig Calman. Author of "100 Years of Brodies with Hal Roach: The Jaunty Journeys of a Hollywood Motion Picture and Television Pioneer". A loving look at the man responsible for being the boss of Stan and Ollie, and bringing to us those wonderful Comedy Classics we enjoy each and every meeting. I will interview Craig and he will share great stories and anecdotes. You can also purchase his fine book and have it autographed for a measly $30!

Our special program is JUST ONE MORE TEENSY-WEENSY.... Stan & Ollie and Alcohol, rarely mix. In this case hilariously so! You will see a glass lifting CartOOn, then what happens when you mix two vagrants, a mad Judge that wants them out of town, a drunken benefactor (The always inebriated Arthur Housman) and a tipsy Woman.... everything, in SCRAM! (1932) Then our guest comedian, Red Skelton, provides a demonstration of the wonders of Guzzler's Gin. After a tasty (Alcohol free) intermission, we will watch the recently restored BLOTTO (1930). Stan and Babe decide a night on the town is in order. Off to a Nightclub they go with some Prohibition Booze...they think. What happens when Stan's wife (Anita Garvin) gets a little suspicious? Come see in this evening of .... (Hick) sobriety. Oh yes, there will also be a few surprisses, I mean, surprises .... ah heck, just come and see. March 25th at Williams Hall next to the Trinity Church.

The JM97-R is a sporty civilian version of my old JM97 Police Bike. It has twin SCRAM-Jet Engines coupled to a repulser lift, and can do 240MPH. The body was streamlined to be more aerodynamic and lighter than the police version.

The original police version was built in 1997-ish. It was inspired by the Playstation video game Jet Moto. To see the police version of this bike click the link below:

Developed as a medium-range bomber for the Strategic Air Command, the FB-111 is based upon the F-111 fighter which was the first aircraft to utilize the variable-sweep wing, automatic terrain-following radar, and a crew module escape capsule. Originally planned to replace the B-52C/F versions of the Stratofortress, the proposed production of 210 aircraft was reduced to 76. The wingspan of the FB-111 was lengthened, landing gear strengthened, and braking increased. Provisions were made to carry six nuclear bombs, or six SRAM missiles, or a combination of these weapons.

USAF S/N 67-159 is an FB-111A-CF, the first of 76 built by General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas. It was delivered to the USAF on September 4, 1968 and assigned to the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFSC), Edwards AFB, California. In July, 1980 it was assigned to the Sacramento Air Logistics Center (AFLC), McClellan AFB, California for use as a test aircraft in the F-111 program. It was retired to the museum in August, 1990, and is painted in the color scheme that it flew in while assigned to McClellan.

Panellit Gauges. There's one of these indicators monitoring the temperature of every process tube. If any of them got too hot, it could cause an emergency reactor shutdown, or "SCRAM". Of course, as the sign says, accidentally bumping the panel of gauges might also cause a reactor scram...

Why not view the set as a slide-show?

Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...

This morning I finally went for it and hiked the Raven Rocks portion of the Appalachian Trail. It has been years since I last hiked this trail and I was worried I might not have been in the kind of shape required to hike this trail, but it looks like the visits to the gym and walks around the neighborhood have paid off. Nature has always been a great source of peace and inspiration, so I brought my iPad in hopes of composing a little ambient track in Garageband, inspired by my surroundings. I included a little snippet here in the post, though it might still need some work. I also tried to get some sketching in, but the yellow jackets kept paying me a visit. Must’ve been the tasty treats I brought along, so I eventually had to cut my stay short and scram. With the weather getting slightly cooler, I don’t think this will be the last time I visit this year, however, especially when fall arrives! #ravenrocks #crescentrock #appalachiantrail #hiking #takeahike #getoutside #nature #middummer #drawing #sketching #moleskine #moleskinesketchbook #ambientmusic #garageband #electronicmusic #instrumentalmusic #artistoninstagram #artistsoninstagram #dmvartist #loudouncountyartist #loudounart

I scrammed like a bat outta hell and went to the night market.

Check out the Bunty. This was taken as Fuze and Scram worked on the Paddock back wall. The artwork was taken from a Simon Bisley artwork (possibly 2000AD, not too sure).

Fuze had a way with painting unmatched in the UK at that time, very exacting, never wack.

Last I heard he had bought some paint...

Soundfile.. No chance!!

Most probably the rarest Eddie Bo 7" out there. Only recently have a small number become available. Sounding very simular to 'Garden Of Four Tree's' and although it probably has greater dancefloor appeal, Jockey Ride is a great discovery for New Orleans music!
