Beautiful West Coast views to be enjoyed from BC's Sunshine Coast - just a short ferry ride from Vancouver (Canada). This was from Daniel Point Park.
While driving one of those winding mountain roads I found a safe wide spot on the shoulder to pull over and grabbed this shot.

Views from Twin Lakes (LaPlata Peak?) along the Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway. Have a great day!!!
The Katoomba Scenic Railway is an incline railway built between 1878 and 1900. The incline railway descends 415 metres through sandstone cliffs, via a rock tunnel with a maximum gradient of 52 degrees. I got the front seat on the train and made this video of our descent into the valley.
The Eel and its tributaries form the third largest watershed entirely in California, draining a rugged area of 3,684 square miles (9,540 km). Since the early 20th century, the Eel River has been dammed in its headwaters to provide water to parts of Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. Despite these dams, the Eel was granted federal Wild and Scenic River status in 1981, formally making it off limits to new dams. While it may not look particularly wild in this photo, the water flow would be significantly higher in January and February, due to the impact of storms coming in from the Pacific Ocean.
We stopped here for lunch stop en route from Little River to Shelter Cove, the third day of our May road trip.
Happy weekend ahead! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

We have had a terrific time in Capitol Reef National Park. My only complaint is that we have had very limited internet access. But the RV Park wifi appears to be working at the moment so we will give this one a try.
Hope your weekend is wonderful. Happy Saturated Saturday!
This was taken on the way back to Queenstown from a day trip to Doubtful Sound. New Zealand is a very beautiful country.

A scenic hike with the whole beauty of the Bavarian Alps in Germany. Her majesty, the mountain named Höfats is one of the most striking peaks in this area. With four major summits it looks like a crown from a different angle. The name Höfats means "upland pasture". Its steep and grassy sides are not quite easy to ascend!
