The rubbish clear skies over the last 2 days have hardly been conducive for good photography, but the skis on the 12th of February were certainly more interesting, just a shame nothing exciting was happening locally to make the most of them. However, during a pleasant walk down to the canal, this popular scene overlooking the chandlers and dry dock was taken.

A390 over River Lynher
Callington, Cornwall, England
03-23-25
There aren't too many places to stop the car when driving along the country roads of Cornwall in Southern England. As soon as I passed over this little bridge, though, and saw there was a turnout on the other side, I felt compelled to stop and photograph this bucolic scene on the River Lynher. I had a few miles to go before I got to my destination, the Higher Chapel Farm on the River Tamar.
Here a scene from last fall, a place that i go by almost every weekend. Here's a link of one of my Christmas gift if you'r interested to see www.insideline.com/nissan/juke/2011/2011-nissan-juke-pric...but mine is a 2012 and a different price.
"In the Christian tradition, a nativity scene (also known as a manger scene, crib, crèche (/krɛʃ/ or /kreɪʃ/), or in Italian presepio or presepe, or Bethlehem) is the special exhibition, particularly during the Christmas season, of art objects representing the birth of Jesus.
While the term "nativity scene" may be used of any representation of the very common subject of the Nativity of Jesus in art, it has a more specialized sense referring to seasonal displays, in particular sets of individual sculptural figures and props that are arranged for display." - Wikipedia

I bought this boxed bulb as "Ambiance" but it's turned out to be "Moon Scene". I'm disappointed to not have the former which I've looked out for for years, but I've not grown "Moon Scene" before. Lovely to have two scapes open at the same time, with another bud to come.
Sometimes its nice to show a little more of the scene than just close ups this is one such picture.
Peregrine falcon on the marvellous backdrop that is Chichester Cathedral.
Dickensian Christmas scene. It was just yesterday, the children still play, melodies ring out Christmas tunes, and for a few days we celebrate the season to be jolly, the winter closes the year and a new one will begin, the New year....lets hope it's a merry one for one and all........Best of wishes........Tim

One of the nice things about Adobe Lightroom is the ability to organize images in various ways.
For example one can create a "smart" collection, assigning various conditions and parameters that would cause images to be included or excluded. When finished editing an image in Ps and saved with the PSD extension, I also save it in a TIFF version consisting of a single layer.
So I have chosen to create smart folders organized by date, such as Tiffs_2017-12, in which I found this image. All the TIFFs created in the month of December 2017 could be found in that smart folder unless they have been posted to Flickr.
I've done the same for PSDs. Opening this image's PSD in Ps reminded me of what I had done back in December.
Toward the end of last year I had been playing with photos shot with the camera and then sent to my phone for editing in the phone's apps. I had created various versions of this using Snapseed and Stackables.
I then exported each of those versions back to the computer where they got stacked as layers in Ps. By playing with blend modes and masks, and sliding opacity one can mix various aspects of each version.
Since I found this image again, I figured I should post to the Sliders Sunday group while waiting an hour for one of the world cup matches I am eagerly anticipating.
Germany - Mexico
If each team plays to their ability, this would be a fantastic game.
Maybe as much fun to watch as Portugal - Spain had been.
Meanwhile, have a great Sliders Sunday!

Smoke from the BBQ meat partially obscures the busy market scene on a rainy day at Coc Ly market, near Sa Pa, North Vietnam. Flower Hmong women with their colourful traditional attire and their babies on their backs are a common site at the market, as are the BBQ stands and the hordes of motorcycles.
