I watched Head last night for the first time as an adult. I thought it clever and amusing - - the Monkees question their television existence and impact on culture. In this scene Frank Zappa is playing "The Critic," and tells Davy Jones "You should spend more time on your music, because the youth of America depend on you to show the way."
Portrait macro study of a group of Alder catkins silhouetted by a late February sunrise. The sun is bursting through between two of the catkins. Photo taken in Barnet, Hertfordshire, UK in February 2015.
Actress Brittany Dixon prepares for the next scene during filming of 'The Astronot' (bit.ly/AstroTrailer) along the Deschutes River in Central Oregon.
A little behind the scenes peak at a recent late night photoshoot I was doing. I took this photo with my phone as I was trying to get my angles and lighting figured out.

I spent a lot of my time looking for interesting and unusual scenes of daily life in India to photograph while traveling around the country on the tour bus. Here is another image from this set. It was photographed somewhere between Agra and Bharatpur.
While pursuing this "project", I was intrigued by the abundance and variety of small shops, the dress of the locals population, their activities, the unusual vehicles dotting the roads, the cows and other animals on the streets, the diversity of colours and textures everywhere, and everything else that makes India so fascinating.
When you live in New England you have two choices. You can either complain about how cold it is, or get out there and try to enjoy it! This was the scene in Rye NH this morning as sea smoke enveloped the entire harbor due to sub-zero temperatures. These fisherman don't have the luxury of staying in on days like this, and the harbor was busy as ever!

After a week long backpack that traversed 27 miles of vertiginous terrain in Wrangell St Elias, I was stunned by the breathtaking scenery in just one small portion of this vast park. I have many more stories to share, but here is a quick preview of the beautiful landscape hidden in the largest National Park of the country.

Chris Southwell has the smile and the throttle of WNYP ME1 as he comfortably rolls down the old Erie Oil City branch at Sugarcreek, PA with cars for Franklin, Rousville and The Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad. I believe this may been the maiden voyage for his newest conductor, Erie.
From the point where the old Court House Road Pier used to stand looking north the shoreline takes a large bend east, like its wanting to make the state a little larger than its supposed to be. From here you can see some large structures protruding above the land. The evening clouds secretly meeting, planning for maybe a light show in the evening. The last rays of sunlight from behind us is blanketing the smooth sandy surface of the beach. A small froth of wave water lays silently on the shoreline. Seagulls are waiting patiently for the day to end, no one knows what they do at night.

Norfolk Southern Allentown, PA to Birmingham, AL manifest train 15T helps create this scene at Charles Town, WV on the former Norfolk and Western Valley Line that will soon be altered. The Color Position Light Signal will soon be replaced and perhaps along with it, the code line you see to the right as NS readies the railroad for PTC implementation and signal upgrades.
