No idea what this insect is, but it loos like something you shouldn't touch. Could it be an assassin bug?

this monster came in right before the sun slipped behind the jetty

Scary Clown. Happy Halloween!

Kovik Gotland Sweden.

What could be behind that? We've never found out...

This is a 3 sec exposure of a moving car during the blue hour of a surprisingly foggy evening. My idea was to create a scary mood, not sure if it worked!

The little MinPin puppy we are fostering was terrified of this oversize (about 5 inches to the tip of his ears) resin Doberman Pinscher ornament. We could hold it in our hand and show her the eyes and she would back away barking. This scary dog became the "Protector of the Tree" to keep little Miss Mayhem from absconding with the lower-hanging ornaments.

Belonephobia- Fear of pins and needles.

Explored! Reached #207.

HOLY. Scariest thing ever. I actually do have this phobia. Needles make me sweat. Never having anything sharp this close to my eye ever again. But, it does look really odd to have a needle this close up from the eye's point of few. It's impossible to focus on, like a camera without a macro lens.

A scary tree guards this gravel road in Whiteside County Illinois.

Should I tell you another story about those scary humans?

What do think one about a scary president they voted for?

Instead of carving a pumpkin this year, Kim cut a red pepper. Scary! Strobist info: Shot in a "David Hobby Special" macro box, sb800 each side @ 1/32 power & a 540EZ in a Lumiquest SBIII above @ 1/8 power.

Scary pepper has muscadine grape seed eyes and red pepper seed teeth.

This Christmas elf was "guarding" the landing going to the 3rd floor of the shop we love to stop at on our way to Highland County. (the one with the best popcorn ever). It was about 3 1/2 feet to 4 feet tall and I think it's the stuff that gives Kids nightmares so it's kind of funny that Anita walked right by it and never noticed it! LOL Taken on last Sundays adventures. (haven't even had a chance to look at yesterdays photos yet!)

Mural in London. Not exactly sure where I was though. When I took the pic, it was in low light and came out pretty yellow. I couldn't get it fixed. The background of the mural is red and I really wanted to be able to bring out the red but it didn't work. So, I turned it into black and white. London, UK.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. With the craze of scary clowns being reported in the media and condemned by police and sensible people the world over, I was surprised to find one standing on Buchanan Street. I was even more surprised to find Leo 'The Glasgow Raver' trying to intimidate the scary clown by dancing circles around him! Enjoy.

Storms have been a daily occurrence the last few days. This storm moved in from the south around 3:30pm on Friday. While it looks really bad, it didn't produce anything severe at my location. Three exposure HDR processed with Photomatix
