My parents married on Christmas Day, 70 years ago. Neither are around any more, unfortunately; my mom passed away in 2005 and my dad in 2017. That did give them 52 anniversary parties. I toast to their Happy Anniversaries.
Obviously I can't take credit for the photograph and nobody wrote down who snapped it. I'm guessing one of my father's many older siblings ...

Sally trots to me as I call her name. She's always the 1st to arrive as Henry takes his sweet time eating away at the grass and weeds before him.
Had a full day out on a boat on the Broads during our weeks stay in Norfolk. Meandering around the fens I came across this idyllic Broad's scene with this small sailing boat moored by St. Benet's Mill. Couldn't resist a snap of "Sally" resting on this tiny inlet on the River Ant.

As you may recall, last year Sally the Sailor tried to join the crew of a sailing vessel, but was not successful in her attempt to be hired because she was so tiny (about 5 inches tall). So she stowed away in a laundry hamper that ended up in the Captain's quarters. They have been traveling the Pacific coast for months, with their next stop being Ecuador. Sally's prized possession is a special shell she found on her first visit to the sea. She never loses track of it, and keeps it with her when she sleeps. She only uses a tissue for a cover when getting close to the equator because its just so dang hot. She is best friends with the Captain now and sometimes he lets her ride in his pocket when he goes ashore.

One of the oldest houses in the town of Bath (1482), situated in the South West of England.
It is also thought to be the original home of the “Sally Lunn”, more widely known around the world today as the “Bath Bunn”
Sally will hopefully eat with us at Supper With the Stars, benefiting Tulsa Boys' Home. Held on May 1, 2010, it is part of Trek Expo in Tulsa.
Although quiet and unassuming, Sally has a frisky, playful side, and I often see her jetting around out on the front lawn chasing leaves and her kids.
this old piece of furniture I painted red and turned into a planter several years ago is about ready to fall apart now, and normally I'd have already tossed it to the curb, but a good crop of catnip reseeded in it, and is one of the cats favorite places to get their buzz on, so it continues to sit on the back porch....probably until it literally falls apart!.
An early birthday dinner with my bessie friend Stef :) The champagne is finished so it's on to the rosé.
Ride Sally ride, is all you gotta do wipe your weepin' eyes
Tell you just shake it to the east now, baby, yeah just
Shake it to the west now, baby, hey, baby just
Shake now, shake it, shake, shake it, yeah
Sally would dance all night long, this is what I say to you, yeah
How we fly we doin' till we die
We dancin' till the night is through
Everybody sing
Ride Sally ride, oh, make me feel good
Wipe your weeping eyes, all you gotta do is
Tell you just shake it to the east now, baby, I'd keep on sayin'
Shake it to the west now, baby, gettin' good, I said

One of the female dogs is "in the mood," which means Rodney is hanging around all the time again. When his hormones are roused, he chases cats. Sally (and I) find this annoying.
Another shot from the St Lucia archives. Tricky subjects these as their eyesight appears very good. Any movements and they scuttle for cover, hence the use of the long lens for this capture.
