Maybe it's the front. I called it an S-curve because it was easy, but I'd rather not see it as the actual letter S, because that's cheesy. It's the shape of an S, but not the letter itself, OK?

There's always a good time to be had at Juniors's Farm.

Live music, dancing, watermelon wine and the watermelon crawl.

We all has fun - that is, until Junior finds out we're on his property and shows up hollerin' and pepperin' us with rock salt.

I know it's not a perfect shot of this beautiful pheasant, but I have tried my best; it was quite dark in the early morning! The male Swinhoe's Pheasant looked more elaborate during the breeding season, it's unusual seeing his white crest and flapped wings.........he showed off several times for us in that magic morning!

Well, she's not really cycling, more stopped in the middle of the street so that everyone could see her, talking as loudly as she could on her mobile phone.

Northern Iceland, along the ring road going from Egilstaðir to Mývatn, right before the route to Dettifoss.

This part of the country is so bleak that the ring road felt like our own private driveway, complete with the luxury of stopping mid road as we please for pictures (vigilantly watching for oncoming traffic, of course).

A homeless guy remarked ... "You're not taking a picture of the donut, are you?!?," to which I responded "yes, of course..."

"That's what I love about L.A.—everybody's a nut." he replied.

Mother’s Love - the story goes here:

I found a missing baby squirrel, which was struggled to survive between cat and crows. So, I gave an asylum in a cage. Later, her mother spotted and struggled to rescue. But, the rescue mission was very hard. Her tiny teeth failed to break the iron bars and she didn’t give up the rescue mission. Meantime, she kissed and hugged her baby. Did she comfort the baby? I don’t know, but I feel the love of a mother!

I thought I can open the cage and let the mother to decide what to do. Because, she has the rights to does so. I opened the cage. She picked up her baby and ran away. Rescue mission was success in 45 minutes!

I was wondering how she loved her baby and fight against the big force. Nowadays, abortion, killing child and abandoning child are very common. But, the squirrel has HUGE love in her TINY heart.

LOVE never fails!

She's always so willing to help me out when it comes to photography. Anything I need..she's willing to do it :) I couldn't use this for the workshop because the light is uneven on her face but she looked so pretty I had to keep it.

An adult Bonaparte's Gull in breeding plumage forages along the beach at Iona Island, Richmond, BC, Canada, on June 17 2014.

I had to get very muddy to get this shot, but it was worth it! There was a large flock of about 75 birds foraging in the mud along the beach. All of them were in nonbreeding plumage except this one bird, and this was the first time I have had an opportunity to get good shots of a breeding plumage Bonaparte's Gull so I took the opportunity! I am very happy with the result.

Michael Jaskson's Boyhood Home

2300 Jackson St.

Gary, Indiana

Since we were in the neighborhood shooting abandonment in nearby downtown Gary, we thought we'd drive over to Michael Jackson's boyhood home which was only a 6 or 7 blocks away. Upon arrival you immediately know which house it is as it is the only house around completely surrounded with a thick black fence. As you can see here the home is in wonderful shape and the lawn and landscape is well cared for. Outside the fence are makeshift memorials, one on the corner of 23rd and Jackson St. and the others are on the side facing 23rd Street near the home. Just inside the fence stands a large granite plaque that memorialized his life and history.

On August 29th, 1958, the King Of Pop was born into this small 3 room house to Katherine Esther Scruse and Joseph Walter "Joe" Jackson and would eventually include 5 brothers and 3 sisters. From what I can see, he lived here until 1969 after he and his brothers group, The Jackson 5 had achieved great commercial success. The home is apparently currently owned by Latoya Jackson and another private party, but I couldn't find anything concrete to reinforce this information.

In 10 days Revo will be 1 year old! He’s the son of Bridget and Nathan, and is a fullblood Boer buckling (they aren’t considered “bucks” until they reach a year old). Revo and his brother Cory are Bridget’s third kids. They were born on a very cold and damp night, back on November 20th 2005…

Soon after Bridget went into labor, I saw a little nose peek out, and I thought for once, Bridget was going to give birth to these babies without my help (she always has trouble delivering!). But after the nose began to show, I waited and waited and waited… and despite her pushes, that baby just wasn’t moving. So, just like her other births, I had to reach my hand inside to try to help pull the baby out…

I slid my hand in and felt along the baby’s head… OMG! I could tell already that this was a BIG baby! I started to get a little bit nervous. I reached in further and felt along his neck and then… STOP! I had come to Bridget’s pelvic bone. It was tightly against the baby, and on the other side was his shoulders… one of the widest parts on a baby goat. I tried and tried, but I just couldn’t fit my hand past those pelvic bones. So with no other choice I gripped the baby around the neck and started to pull. I was so scared that I was going to choke him or break his neck! After a long while I had only managed to get a little more of his snout out, and I was getting really worried. I thought there was no way that big baby was going to be able to get past Bridget’s pelvis, and that she probably was going to need a C-section.

So I started yelling… “CARL!!!” CARL!!!”. I wanted him to call the vet for me right away! Now keep in mind, my barn is not that far from the house, and even though my husband was inside, I not only had a “Barn Cam” (a video camera set up to watch the birthing pen and hooked to our TV) but I also had a baby monitor in the barn so we could hear everything that goes on in there from inside our house. But still, there was no answer from Carl. So I just kept pulling, and reaching inside to try to adjust the baby so it might slide past his mother’s bones. But every few seconds I’d yell again (and probably louder, and more frantic each time).

After what seemed like forever, I finally got the baby’s head out, and when I reached back inside I could feel the edge of his shoulder blade and was able to pull on it to free him from Bridget’s pelvis. And once his shoulders were free, the rest of him slipped out without a problem. It had taken so long and I was worried that he wouldn’t make it (baby goats often die if they aren’t born quickly enough). He was a healthy 11 pound 3 ounce baby boy! And I named him “Neo’s Encore” (aka Cory) in memory of Bridget’s boy who was born one year earlier, but who had died a few months before of Meningeal Deer Worm.

Once I got Cory and his mother settled, I ran up to the house to see where in the world Carl was… he was sitting in the living room calmly watching TV. Of course I asked him why he didn’t answer me when I was screaming for him, but he said that he didn’t hear me. How could that be?? I turned around and saw that the baby monitor was turned off and Carl said “oh yeah, I turned it off because I couldn’t hear the TV over all that noise down in the barn”! I wanted to strangle him!

Well, it all turned out OK, and when I went back to the barn (within only a few minutes) Bridget had a second big baby boy lying at her side… and that was “Neo’s Revolution” (aka Revo). He weighed 10 pounds 6 ounces at birth. Poor Bridget… no wonder she had trouble delivering… she had been carrying more than 21 pounds inside her! Since newborn baby goats usually weigh about the same as an average human baby (6-8 pounds), you can imagine how hard that was on her!

Revo was a gorgeous goat right from the start. He had a beautiful dark head and the longest ears I’d ever seen! His baby picture, taken when he was only 5 days old, is one of my most popular photos on flickr, with 1168 views. And he’s grown into a handsome young man, but oh so spoiled! I sold his brother when he was 3 months old, so Revo has had his mom, and me, all to himself for most of his life. And I’ve got to say, he adores us both! It’s hard for me to get a good picture of him now, because he always wants to be right by my side. I’ve had quite a few people want to buy Revo from me, but since his big brother Neo (Neo was one of my most favorite goats) and his father Nathan are both gone, Revo holds a lot of sentimental value to me… and I wouldn’t sell him for all he money in the world.

Rintins operation has succesfully stopped the chyle but a one litre a day fluid effusion continues to pour into her lungs. She is drained thrice daily & is in no pain.

We are trying a different drug with little known useage in dogs but it does seem to limit fluid production in dogs & treats chylothorax in humans.

It has until Monday to work or Rintin with have to undergo a further operation.

She is a special dog, a one in a million & I am hopeful she will be cured :)
