Like the forests from which they come, the Pine Warbler lacks some of the luster and panache of its more flamboyantly adorned cousins. It is, however, a bird onto its own. The pine warbler is the only warbler that eats large quantities of seeds. At a result, it can sometimes be seen at feeders, while other warblers won’t be. While other warblers generally leave the US for winter, the pine warbler migrates to southern states, where it sometimes forms large flocks. It is also one of the first to make the return trip northward in spring. It is a bird of rustic beauty much like the barrens from which they originate. #PineWarbler

I've been reading Finnish 18th and 19th century history a lot lately and I love those old log mansions, which we're still having plenty in Finland.

I've been holding on to this photo for a while. I took it last August. The reason I was waiting was because I thought I had a photo of my nephew standing under it from 2009. I can't seem to find it. He probably has it. The resort was more of a campground, right on the river. When he was visiting and wanted to camp in our motorhome, we choose this place for the fishing and close location to my home. There was a fire here. I can't remember the date, and can't seem to find anything on it now, maybe June 2010. I'd really like to own this sign. I'll probably reshoot it with my 6D, so I can get a good print.

Took a "mental health" by giving my husband kidlets the chance to go spend Thanksgiving with his family in Rancho Cucamonga. This is what I did :)
Hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as I have enjoyed mine.
Rustic Sourdough
Artisan sourdough with full cream Jersey butter and a speciality Royal Jubilee & Watermint Jelly Jam.
The sourdough has a crisp crust and firm texture. Absolutley delicious and not one of the products can be found on supermarket shelves.
All produced in small batches by artisans, not volume manufacturers.
This sourdough was made with a Rye based starter and a strong white flour added for the main loaf.
It was my turn to prepare dinner today... roated peppers, basil and cheese panini.. with vegetarian minestrone soup. It was simple, yet a hearty rustic meal..

I'll be the first one to admit that I can prepare only a few Indian dishes, although I do prepare some mean chicken tikka and a couple of other dishes.. but, my wife... she is an amazing chef (explains my "prosperity" in the tummy area!!).
