The Rustic Tavern is a family-owned bar that gets raves for cheap drinks from customers. The Rustic Tavern was chosen in the July 2010 issue of Madison Magazine as the Favorite Neighborhood Bar in Madison! This blocked-corner building was constructed in 1933 with residential upstairs and commercial down below. The outside of it bears two backlit plastic signs.

More drive by shootings taken from the passenger seat. I was shooting random shots from the passenger seat. The lighting and landscape scenes change very quickly at 65 MPH. You don't get a chance for a "do over" if you miss the shot. Compositions are a hit or miss. Sometimes I get lucky and others go straight to the trash bin.
I love the old barns that dot the landscape. Each barn has its own character and story to tell. Interesting rustic and rusty relics are scattered around the barnyards. Many of the old barns still hold hay and livestock. Some are are reminders of days long gone by.
Since covered bridges aren't something you see everyday, when I stumble across one I have to take a picture. The autumn colors and water around this one really create that country atmosphere for me.

I had a pretty good day with the sphinxes!
This handsome specimen suggests Rustic Sphinx (Manduca rustica)...though they typically tend to range further south.
(Wagner's Guide indicates that they stray northward.
His words, "..Note the extremely granulated horn." are pretty convincing.)
This sphinx has similarly bordered (but lighter) abdominal bands...and the head pattern seem right.
I welcome other opinions.
(The host tree was not recognized.)

My submission to Series 7 of the BrickLink Designer Program!
My foray into the world of cabins! I wanted to try out a smaller model for this series and lean into the charming outdoors vibe that has been so popular in LEGO sets in recent years.
Characters: 4 minifigures and 5 animals
Part Count: 1317 pieces
Size: 12.1 in (30.7 cm) x 7.4 (18.7 cm) x 7.7 in (19.6 cm)
If you'd like to see this become a set, you can vote for it on BrickLink!
You can find all of the photos here!
Enjoy!

second of the scone series and third if you count the blueberry image. i still have a couple of shots from this series and i can't really make up my mind.
if you think this scone looks different from the others, you're right. this was baked in a tartlet mould, giving rise to fluted edges! it is alright to have scones with fluted edges right?

Our friends Liam and Noah built this rustic arbor. Liam built the bench to go with it. Both are made of Black Locust, one of the hardest woods known to man. I have had people stop by the house and ask me where I got this because they want one too.
We planted 3 Hardy Kiwi plants on the back poles, two females and one male. Hoping this year for some blossoms to show up. It usually takes around 3 years for this to happen. I've read in a good year you can get 100 lbs. of fruit from these vines. I have tasted the Kiwi fruit and they are so sweet and juicy! I call them Nature's Candy!
This is a late century Pt Gamble mill town home for the foreman's family. It is filled with vintage furniture and decor. The early morning view out a north facing window where the original dock was located for the lumber mill. The windows are updated- I see the brass window lock above the curtain. #cy365 65/365 #rustic
some atempts on fashion photography. Haven't been doing fashion photography for sometime, i hope i still have the eye for it. Ahh, who cares, the doors are just too awesome!
I guess both the model and the rustic doors look good as subjects.

This piano is from 1906. My mom has it. Us kids and the cats used to pound on it. I had some fun and poked around on it. Don't really play piano, but I'm musically inclined and can figure out bits of songs.
Just a few mouse droppings on the cabinets and in the sink. Nothing to worry about.

I saw a very interesting interior in the web and I always would come back to it, didn't quite know why. I later realized, it was the many "visual textures", so, it inspired me to draw this kitchen with lots and lots of different textures.
