The 2014 NFL season kicks off early in Richmond when the Washington Redskins return to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center from July 24 to Aug. 11, leaving town four days earlier than last year, but adding two Sunday practices. There's not a better opportunity for you to watch the team practice from the sidelines and maybe even score an autograph or photo with your favorite players. Last year more than 150,000 fans came to Richmond to watch, meet and get autographs from their favorite players. Red Weasel Media RWM was right in the middle of the action.

The Vols escaped with a victory 55-48. It was military appreciation day at the game and a contingent of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District employees attended and paid tribute to former district engineer and Tennessee coaching legend Brig. Gen. Robert R. Neyland. The coach holds the record for most wins in Vols history and led the team to four national championships. (USACE photo by Leon Roberts)

Statue of Red Grange outside Memorial Stadium. His most famous game came against Michigan, in the inaugural game at Memorial Stadium. He scored touchdowns of 95, 67, 56, and 44 yards the first four times he touched the ball. He ended with six touchdowns in a 39-14 victory that ended the Wolverines' hope of a national championship.
His number 77, along with Dick Butkus's 50, have been retired.
Living in the same town you grew up in can be pretty cool. I attended a HS football game for the first time in years. Although I attended a few after graduation in 1986, the last one must have been in the early 90's. It's the same field I shot games at as a HS photographer (digital makes it much easier today). The tradition continues - we lost. HS football in Texas is huge!
I was looking for something to shot and I found it (300 shots and a few requests by parents).
