Col. Gilbert and Command Sgt. Maj. Elliott command team of the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division led a formation of Troopers during a four-mile run 17 July, on Ardennes to enhance esprit de corps. Gilbert addressed the entire Brigade for the first time after recently taking command prior to the run and told them this run is significant to mark the CAB is back at after its recent deployment.
No ordinary race. The 11th annual Canada Army Run took place September 21-23, 2018 on the streets of Ottawa and Gatineau. Canada Army Run, presented by BMO Bank of Montreal, is a unique running event in which Canadians run, walk or roll side-by-side with members of the Canadian Armed Forces in 5K, 10K, half marathon and multi-distance challenge events. Proceeds and fundraising efforts from Canada Army Run support the Soldier On program and the Support our Troops fund. www.armyrun.ca

Une course extraordinaire. La 11e édition de la Course de l'Armée du Canada s'est déroulée du 21 au 23 septembre 2018 dans les rues d'Ottawa et de Gatineau. La Course de l’Armée du Canada, présentée par la BMO Banque de Montréal, est une épreuve unique en son genre durant laquelle les Canadiens courent, marchent ou roulent aux côtés des membres des Forces armées canadiennes dans le cadre d’un demi-marathon, d’une course de 5 km, d’une course de 10 km et des défis de distances multiples. The 31st Annual Run to the Tower, Oct. 18, 2013 is an event that brings together Americans and Italians for a 7.3 mile (12Km) run that begins at Camp Darby and ends at the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The 27th annual run to the Leaning Towerof Pisa had record participation with 498 runners on Oct. 16. Among the runners were members of the Folgore Brigade with the biggest group making up 20% off all runners in the race, the Carabinieri regiment Tuscania, Livorno Naval Academy and Pisa Police as well as members of Italian running clubs and Americans stationed in Aviano, Naples, Vicenza, and even in Germany.

The Middlesbrough 5K Riverside Run and 2K fun run was held on Sunday 1st June at the Riverside Stadium.

Sam is running 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 consecutive days. He ran 2 back to back marathons on this day, on basically no sleep. Actually, with the extra run in DC, it's going to be 51 marathons. He's trying to renew media interest in the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The rebuilding effort is still far from complete.
