Pictures from the SABIC Riverside Run that took place on Sunday 13th May with the finish taking place inside the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough.
I found it vaguely amusing that the folks at Repeat Street labeled this Quiet Riot 45 as "Run for Cover." The flip side? A little ditty called "Cum On Feel the Noize," a Slade cover which hit #5 on the US pop charts back in 1983.
Oh well, I guess that was (gulp) 30 years ago.

The Lidl Run Kildare Events 2013 were held at the Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 12th May 2013. There were three events: a 10KM, a half marathon, and a full marathon. This is a selection of photographs which includes all events. The photographs are taken from the start and finish of the marathon, the finish of the 10KM, and the finish of the half marathon. Due to the large numbers participating we did not manage to photograph everyone - which was not helped by the weather. Congratulations to Jo Cawley and her RunKildare crew for another great event. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many happy participants.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 3,000 participants over the 3 race events - there were runners, joggers, and walkers participating.
Weather: A cold breezy morning with heavy rain at the start. The weather dried up for the 10KM and the Half Marathon races
Course: This is an undulating course with some good flat stretches on the Curragh.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. At the beach where we stopped to took photo of the sunset, she decided that she'll go into the ocean and enjoy a bit of sea breeze, but this big wave came around...guess what...RUN~! and not just her, everyone with a tripod close to the water were running pretty fast too!
The annual Wirral Egg Run 2011. A great event with thousands of Bikers taking part. And the sun shone again in New Brighton.
Organisers estimate around 8,500-10,000 bikers took part in the event which raises thousands of pounds for children’s charities.
This superb Austin Van has been restored in Wallace and Gromit's bakery livery.Seen arriving at the Guildhall this morning.
