The ruby-throated hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) is a species of hummingbird that generally spends the winter in Central America, Mexico, and Florida, and migrates to Canada and other parts of Eastern North America for the summer to breed.
Length: 3 – 3.5 in.
Mass: 0.11 oz (Adult)
Life expectancy: 3 - 5 years

I don't normaly post feeder shots but no one would believe me if I don't get a picture to prove it. This female went to the nut feeder at least three times during the day to poke at the nuts or eat them. She seemed more interested in them then the nectar feeder. Never seen this type of behaviour before. Isle lake Alberta
I put out a hummingbird feeder every Spring and every late summer, hoping that the hummingbird will find it :-)
