Lumix GF1 + 20mm 1.7 Pancake

Zoey was doing her grouchy ladybug routine tonight and did not want Daddy to take her picture. I'd set up a couple flashes while she was sitting or playing in one spot, then as soon as I went to my spot to take a shot she either turned, crawled towards me, crawled away, or started screaming and crying. I was able to get one or two usable shots and this was my favorite. Originally I was trying for some colored flash effect with a blue gel'd flash behind her but when I started editing I liked the b&w a lot better.

Notice the automobiles above have different license plates. Vehicle registration is complicated in Cuba. The colour, numbers, and letters all have specific meanings and all is noted here.

Week 29/52

Part of our weekly routine is going to the butcher to get our supply of meat and veg. Training and keeping a paleolithic diet requires lots of protein in lots of different varieties! We can get everything from kangaroo to bison to elk here and everything in between.

Taking the dog for a walk is a pretty common routine. Well, not for everyone...

My niece has been staying with us the past few months. It's ice having her around but sometimes her grandparents spoil her a bit too much.

"Ogni giorno è simile a quello precedente".....un autobus che percorre sempre lo stesso tragitto portando più o meno le stesse persone, le stesse angosce e le stesse speranze.

E' semplicemente una condanna a morte con i cappi ai quali rimaniamo aggrappati per sopravvivere.....ma la differenza fra la vita e la morte è solo una questione di tempo.

Quell'autobus è simile ad un macello con i ganci ai quali rimaniamo aggrappati quando la vita è lontana.

Day 237.

My week has felt long. Mr M has been home all week, doing stuff (all the things I should have been doing no doubt) and is now exhausted.

Well, he's asleep and snoring on the settee right now but that is the usual Friday routine, whether he's been home or not - and naturally the bottle of wine and Chinese takeaway has helped put him into a stupour.

I tend to wait till he's asleep before getting the laptop out - and tonight I had no photos to use so decided to take a photo of what I see.

So - here I am on the computer, half watching Eddie Izzard on TV, listening to the snores and thinking I'll probably finish off his wine here before heading to bed.

My first attempt at levitation... like ever. I don't know if i did it the way it's supposed to be done, I would try again today, but my camera and my one lens are in repairs until the 15th of February... And I didn't think of taking more images to play around with editing for levitation while my camera is being fixed...
