Every morning I boil and eat an egg. It is so healthy and taste so good. It is filled with proteins and vitamins that is good for the body.

My 2020 was not much different from my 2019.

I'm not complaining, routine is good for me,

I know that by the way I feel. I'm eight years

old and healthy and strong, never has a sick

day in my life except a couple of Canada Day

hangovers, and considering what's going on

today in the world of humans, there is still little

stress in the naturally tranquil lives puttering

around this old house I live in.

We had special times this past year, of course.

If I had one wish, I suppose it might be that

some of those times lasted longer and came

more often. But I get what I am. I get where

and how I fit into my home...I change my wish:

I wish for every dog in the world to have a nice

home to fit into, and someone who loves them.

And we can still find new special times in the

coming year. Those who have recently discovered

the charm of this area are welcome. As for us,

we will still look for the path less travelled.

Take the usual good care of everyone around you,

my doggie friends, and may the coming year bring

you all peace and good health.

Your admirer and pal, Clancy.

"Ditto."

Thanks, Dad.

In the morning, the cats wait until I'm ready to go downstairs with them. They could go alone, but they don't want to. So they watch me and sometimes even meow at me because it takes them too long.

I love our morning ritual.

'Save up all the days,

A routine malaise,

Just like yesterday,

I told you I would stay.

Would you always?

Maybe sometimes?

Make it easy?

Take your time.

Think of all the ways,

Momentary phase,

Just like yesterday,

I told you I would stay.'

"Macro Monday"-"My Daily Routine"

I began washing dishes in earnest at my first job in a diner, when I was 15. By hand. All these years later, I am still washing dishes by hand. Never had an electric dish washer. Still hate this job. Everyday.

You've cried so much throughout your life that you can swim in sadness; no harm can drown you.

I'm in my feels

A photo of a Scooter's Coffee drive-thru taken just before dawn. The scene is bathed in the soft, purplish-pink hues of the pre-sunrise sky, creating a serene and slightly melancholic atmosphere. The low light emphasizes the glow emanating from the coffee shop's signage and street lights, contrasting with the cooler tones of the approaching day.

I intended this image to tell a story of daily life that reflects on the comforting ritual of stopping for morning coffee during a moment of personal routine. Take a moment to recognize the beauty in simple rituals and everyday habits that take place before the world awakens to its typical hustle and bustle.

I take the cats on about 3 morning walks and one afternoon walk but today as our days are getting longer I decided to take the boys for an afternoon stroll to watch the sun go down but as you can see Charlie was ready for bed as usually by this time he is inside sucking on his blanket before he falls asleep for the night.

Nothing like having a routine.... ;)

. . . involves preparing three square meals a day, even though I'd rather be behind my camera. As I was preparing BLT sandwiches for lunch today - the Macro Mondays theme "My Daily Routine" popped into my head, so I stopped everything to take a few shots.

HMM everyone.

January's almost over already and no single shot taken yet..

However, soon I'm due to bring some new goodies perhaps.

Also inspired by “Macro Mondays” and “My Daily Routine”. I'm grateful to the group admin, Janet Towbin, for mentioning Brain Pickings, "a subjective lens on what matters in the world and why."

I'd lost touch with the website, and I feel delighted to find it now. I didn't enter this, because it might not look like enough of a macro to enter. I reshot another macro.

Thank you for reminding me of the site, Janet, and thank you, anyone, for looking and commenting.

When Pepper work me up thursday morning, I tried to take his photo with the iPhone in the dark but it didn't work - he turned away from the flash before the shot was taken. Since I was up a bit early already, I got up, turned on the light and "went back to bed" (still with the iPhone), allowing me to capture what I see when he starts up with the loud purrs and tickling my face with his whiskers. Those are long whiskers. They really tickle. He also doesn't know what is a weekend vs. a weekday. At least one of the good things about the shortening days after the summer solstice is, I get a few more winks of sleep as every sunrise edges a bit later. Um, this is Happy Caturday 29 August 2020, Morning Routine.

Macro Mondays: "My daily routine"

I jump out of my bed every morning and take a bath.

Thanks a bunch for all the support! 😁

Animals and humans aren’t that different both have routines. This routine has been one of Lily’s since we watched a raccoon come into the back of the garden one evening. She watched as it moved through then like a shot she was off like a rocket chasing the raccoon. No doubt the raccoon understood it was not welcome here. It was a little mind blowing to witness such territorial behavior from her. Ever since this has been her after dinner routine she walks out to the spot of the encounter and guard duty begins. In my life I’ve never seen a cat be so possessive. She’s still not a lap cat and prefers outdoors over indoors while demonstrating her appreciation for us being her people and this being her home.

Happy Monday!

On a rainy spring day this elongated barn has structural reminders of the twice daily routine for a farmer and his offspring. Milk house, stanchions and shed for calves, all three lined up and stretched out. Anyone who grew up on a farm soon learned that farm work involved doing many of the same things over and over again.

When I have my camera in my hand on an inspired and creative day, I start to take out all the things I need ... my mind goes totally crazy, I see photos everywhere and in everything, it's controlled madness and very necessary to get my daily routine out of my mind... then I have to stop and choose between everything that happened... this is the result! I love macro photography!

These are three simple drops of water full of color!

Thank you very much for the visits, favorites and kind comments.
