The route in 5 days, sometimes we made detours so we came to 500 km. We slept in Oostwoud, Workum, Baars, Elburg and Amsterdam. Very nice trip!
Driving Route 66
I traveled Route 66 between the Kansas/Oklahoma state line and Oklahoma City. Equipped with a 1961 Road Map and a GPS, i am trying to find the remains of old Route 66

I found, purely by accident (yes, yes, I didn't read that part of the manual, so what?), that my cell phone camera actually has some limited controls!
The soda fountain was bought in 1931. It was a favourite watering hole for the poet Robert Frost. The coffee and cake are good also.
