Route 255 is a north/south highway on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. Its northern terminus is in Baie-du-Febvre at the junction of Route 132 and its southern terminus is in Bury at the junction of Quebec Route 214.
As I thought the last time I visited the secret nuclear bunker, sans camera but avec Cat, it'd be a toss up between dying on the outside world, and actually living in 'that'.
The place is no doubt impressive, designed to house 600 odd personnel for 3 months, but I suspect I'd get cabin fever and knock off the majority so I could live that much longer. If I even managed to get into the place...
Whilst it was very hard to shoot the bunker, I'm rather pleased with the level of grime that some bits of the place have bestowed. Yum!

It seems the theme of Pontiac, Illinois is stuck in the past. All of these murals were not there when I was growing up - but old Route 66 was. Pontiac, Illinois is about halfway between Srpingfield, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois

Near Wentworth Valley, NS the secondary highway once a busy roadway connecting travellers to PEI has been replaced by a stretch of toll highway called the Cobequid Pass. This roadway, taking a little longer to reach your destination is worth the trip when scenery like this is the bonus.
End of the bicycle trail, with abandoned condos in the background. The new park is to the left along the Clinton River. The M-59 freeway is behind me, as I stand above the tunnel that goes under it.

Uranus is a tourist attraction in unincorporated rural Pulaski County, Missouri, United States, along the former U.S. Route 66. Uranus's businesses include a Fudge Factory and General Store, Chicken Bones Party Bar and Grill, Fort Uranus, Escape Uranus, Skin City Tattoo, Uranus Axehole, Combat Archery Uranus, the Sideshow Museum and the Uranus Brewing Company. All the businesses are owned by one person who proclaims himself the "Mayor of Uranus". Uranus has 25 residents but no formal local government and proclaims on the entrance sign, "It's Not a Town, It's a Destination."

Summer is most defantly on its way which means im having to wind this project down it least for the summer. Still a late drive home gave me the oppitunity to spot this beauty. Love the contrast in light and in colour, the whiteness of the sign and hints of strong green of the trees lit up around it making it a winner for me. Shot with my Nikon 50mm set up on a tripod.
