This floating lily foliage or pads I spotted in the Kadaikanal Lake during my last visit. Its a circular broad leaf floating on the surface of water. The unusual sight was the pink edges on a yellowish green leaf. The whole combination of dark blue water with this yellow, pink leaf and green stem and other leaves showing out of the water looked very colorful and pretty!

Gacha apples (from Pakistan) are sweet, grainy, with a mild flavor and a thinner skin than most apples. Known for their firmness, crispness, and sweetness. Gacha apples are sweet and aromatic, with a size that fits nicely into a lunchbox. It also works well added in salads, or cooked, and is especially suitable for creating apple based sauces.

Is everything really that easy? The sun was shining in the small clearing near the hut and made everything shine beautifully. Wilhelmine, Robbie and Jack had found in their hiding place toys from the past – a few glass marbles, stowed in a net. These glittered wonderfully in the summer sun and produced warm memories. Unfortunately, they had barely any food supplies and did not find much. The berries and mushrooms in the forest were running low in their area and it had once again a plan how to proceed ... But first they played a round with the marbles – of course they could not resist ;-) Yes, and that in a way, it made sense too: the loser would then turn to execute the plan and perhaps to leave the cozy hideaway ... Who it will be?

Day 4 of my self imposed rainbow week. Today's color is Green. Green is not a very common color for a flower, but I this will do. I think this one is on is a variety of Globe Thistle flower called Star Frost.

I have decided to make it a little more interesting this week and post flowers in rainbow colors for each day of the week. This week I am going to try to use only flowers I photographed in the Grasagarður Botanical Garden in Reykjavik , Iceland, during family vacation this past summer. If I like this format, I will repeat throughout the year with this and whatever other mini challenges I come up with because why not? ;-)

Follow along if you wish. :-)

Monday color is Red.

Tuesday color is Orange.

Wednesday color is Yellow.

Thursday color is Green.

Summertime, and the living is sneazy !

A vary basic example of the use of blues and yellows for impact, but i like it so much.

Until this year it wasn't too often that in England you could get such a clear bright blue sky , no clouds. The yellow of the rape seed crop is common enough, but with a relatively quite road to park on as well? This was shot about a hundred yards from housing estates in either direction and some very busy roads, so its good that it gives a feeling of pastoral calm.

Thanks for taking time to comment and fave my pictures. I really appreciate it.

The male Chaffinch is a very pretty and colourful bird with orangey pink breasts and cheeks, a grey blue cap with orange brownish back and they are a similar size to the Robin. These birds enjoy eating invertebrates, but as the year goes on they will start eating seeds. The male Chaffinch starts looking for a breeding area in early February but the nest building will not begin until at least April, the nests are round in shape and are quite delicate they use moss, grass, spiders webs and they are lined with feathers, they favour nesting in trees, hedges and bushes. The female starts to lays her eggs between April to June with a clutch of four or five eggs and the young chicks fledge when they are about 13 days old.

I have no idea what this material is. I bought it in a rock/mineral shop in Montana.
