the merry go round was closed. i went in anyways and got kicked out. wish i could have grabbed more exciting photos, but....
I thought I had a photo of this already posted, but I guess not. This is Round Valley Draw, an interesting slot canyon south of Kodachrome Basin. In 1990, friends and I did a loop trip down into the rapidly-descending canyon, through the narrows, up a side canyon near Hackberry Canyon, then back along the rim.
The hike proceeds down a sandy streambed, then very quickly drops into the sandstone, creating tight spaces at the lip. Within a few yards, it's a dozen feet deep, then several dozen. Getting down to the bottom required a series of precarious jumps, but then going was fairly easy except for one boulder to duck under. The ascent back out was steep but manageable. Fortunately, no injuries.
Sorry about the poor resolution on this photo. In the absence of a macro lens, I had to photography my whole face and crop in on my eye in order to achieve this shot.
Well I sucked up the first round and barely escaped the bottom 2 XD soooo this round I went balls to the walls or whatever the hell that expression was I just wanted to say balls over the internet BALLS!!!! lol.
Yeah soo Czessy got a neck length hair and here is her round 2 photo and I wanted something fun and edgy but I'm afraid the judges will hate it!! So you YES YOU!!! I need your help XD soooo do you like it or hate it

Half way up Shakespeare Cliff and the land is managed by the National Trust as a wild flower meadow and nature reserve. Its a bit windy and cold up here but a number of wild flowers are beginning to bloom including meadow buttercups, rock rose, common milkwort, common spotted, pyramidal and early spider orchids.
Edited ESO image of the Milky Way galaxy in 360° converted to a circle because I can't stop myself. After looking at the result, it looks a bit like a diamond ring.

This gorgeous starscape serves as the first of three extremely high-resolution images featured in the GigaGalaxy Zoom project, launched by ESO within the framework of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009). The plane of our Milky Way Galaxy, which we see edge-on from our perspective on Earth, cuts a luminous swath across the image. The projection used in GigaGalaxy Zoom place the viewer in front of our Galaxy with the Galactic Plane running horizontally through the image â almost as if we were looking at the Milky Way from the outside. From this vantage point, the general components of our spiral galaxy come clearly into view, including its disc, marbled with both dark and glowing nebulae, which harbours bright, young stars, as well as the Galaxyâs central bulge and its satellite galaxies. As filming extended over several months, objects from the Solar System came and went through the star fields, with bright planets such as Venus and Jupiter. This is a stroboscopic photo of a drink splashing. I used a Godox AD400Pro, creating multiple flashes in a 1 second exposure.
