Just before sunset. Nice light behind the factory situated in the Rotterdan harbour. Gave this one in postprocessing a blue shadeas this fits the feeling of the structure. I did not like the "hard" water so I used some motion blur in PS.

Europe, The Netherlands, Zuid Holland, Rotterdam, Timmerhuis (OMA), Atrium (cut from all sides)
The modular frame and cells of an atrium of the Timmerhuis look less severe maybe even a bit 'organic', when captured with a fisheye lens.
About the ‘Timmerhuis’. The first 5 floors of this OMA
building (Rem Koolhaas, Reinier de Graaf. Interior design: Saskia Simon, Katrien van Dijk) are used by the municipality of Rotterdam (22.000 square meters, max capacity of 1800 civil servants) and Museum Rotterdam, the top section of the building is formed by 84 apartments. It’s this level that gives the building its striking multi-'cube' shape. In OMA speak, the rectangular 'cubes' are called pixels.
Other defining features are its play with inside/outside, due to the extensive use of partly translucent glass (OMA likes to call the building ‘a cloud of glass and steel’) and last but not least its internal metal modular frame which defines the building’s internal space – it divides and unites, as is shown in this capture, which is shot into one of the two atriums of the building.
The modular frame is obviously empty in the atriums. One is shown here. The size of an individual cell is 7,2 x 7,2 x 3.6 m and when a cell is actually filled it becomes a 'pixel' with a floor area of 50 square meter.
More about the atriums: "through the two large atriums, which act like lungs. They are connected to a climate system that stores warmth in summer and cold in winter and releases this energy as warm or cold air as required" . Source: here.

Europe, The Netherlands, Zuid Holland, Rotterdam, Wilhelminapier, Fotomuseum, Rotterdam Werkt exposition (cut from B& T)
The Rotterdam Werkt exposition's unfortunate Covid19 context, alas sees to it that it's not visited by many people. Like in other musea you have to book a time slot in advance and in the mueseum there's a routing that prevents people from bumping in to each other. By consequence, a visit is very much safer than a trip to the local supermarket.
And the exposition is fabulous. The meuseum wrote the following about it:
"Rotterdam works! takes you on a journey through the evolution of the city’s ports as well as businesses that were normally closed to outsiders. Visitors will be able to see many previously unseen photographs and film footage of people, buildings, events, and life in the city. This traffic sign is more or less the begin of the route,
Just for this exhibition, the photos on display have been temporarily taken from the collections of contemporary photographers, the Nederlands Fotomuseum, the Rotterdam City Archives, the Royal Collections of the Netherlands, the company archives of Nationale-Nederlanden, Heineken, de Bijenkorf, and many more. Together, they show a city that is always in motion and constantly changing while also telling the story of photography as it has developed from 1864 to the present."
This is number 13 of the Nederlands Fotomuseum album and 21 of In times of Corona .

New Rotterdan Centraal Station 2 Nov 2015 track 6
June 2004 ProRail and the City of Rotterdam gave the contract to CS Team , a cooperation between Benthem Crouwel Architects , MVSA Meyer & Van Schooten Architects, West 8 and to work out the plans for a design for the new central station. On March 13, 2014 , the station was officially opened by King Willem - Alexander
Solar panels installed on the roof of Rotterdam Centraal Station. In total an area of 10,000 m2 of solar panels used to generate renewable energy.
The solar power generated on the roof of the station, used to run the escalators, lighting and lifts at the station. The yield of the solar panels is comparable to the energy consumption of 100 households per year.

About
Rebuilding activities at railway station Rotterdam. As you can see in the sky, the weather was shitty. Too much wind and a little bit rain.
The shot:
Standard 3 exposures HDR [-2,0,+2EV] in RAW/ISO100 at 18 mm, f/5.6 using the Canon 50D and Canon 10-22mm lens. Handheld shots, no tripod used.
Photomatix:
Tonemapped using the 'Details Enhancer (DE)'. Most of the time i use the 'Tone Compressor (TC)', but got a better result with DE on this one.
Photoshop:
The usual photoshop stuff:'Hue/Saturation', 'Curves', 'Brightness/Contrast', 'Shadow/Highlights', 'unsharp mask'. Used the -2 EV shot to remove the halo's around the buildings.

Impressions from an Ultra Large Container Vessel.
Come on bord of the "CMA CGM Alexander von Humboldt", a 16.020 TEU Containership and sail with me from Hamburg, Germany to Marsaxlokks, Malta via Rotterdan, Netherland and Le Havre, France.
You'll see imposing views from another world: The modern nautical and maritime world.
You'll see beautiful sunsets at Sea, busy dancing Containers hanging from the giant Gantry Cranes in the Ports, a huge number of differen animals in the Mediterranean Sea, the word biggest marine engine and much more.
The little walk from the long long Journey from Hamburg to the Far East (China, eastern Asia) was about twelve days, mostly accompanied by nice weather.
I hope, you'll enjoy the ride on bord of the ca. 396m long and 54m wide blue vessel, sailing nearly constant with 20 knots to the mediterranean Island.
