That was Thomas Kemper Root Beer in that mug, and I now declare it to be the best root beer I have had since my trip to Seattle in 1991.

My friend Pi invited me to a rootbeer float and face painting social near Center Camp, and the floats were yummy! Face painting was "artist's choice" and unsuspecting participants got the Paul Addis treatment. (Addis was the clown who burned the man early in 2007 and was charged with arson, and his red-white-and-black mug shot has appeared in several places since.)

Went out with Rob Gustafson and his girlfriend Katie to see the January Gallery night in Milwaukee's historic 3rd Ward. Tons of fun, Avery and Lisa came with. Next time maybe Avery will stay with a sitter. While she loved it, and we all were fine with her there I felt like I would have liked to stay and see more and hang out with the galleries a bit more.

I ended up going back the next day to see more, which was awesome. I ran into Tim Holte and he showed me the ropes a bit, I got to rub elbows with some of the local art community folks Tim knows which was a great time for me.

I have to say that this whole gallery night thing is very cool. My hats off to Laci Coppins showing at the Rustico Pizzeria and Tim Holte showing at Soups On, the 2 best galleries we saw that night.
